I can't figure out why, but I like that the Fresno game got moved until November. Although with the entire country watching ku/MU in arrowhead, I guess it won't matter about getting on TV.
-
I LOVE THIS SCHEDULE.
Jannsen with another scoop!

the entire country* watching ku/MU in arrowhead

My theory is that the National media is at least ready to give us props for NOT playing a cream puff schedule every year. I like it and only good things can come from this new found media love.

I don’t think we have been accurately accused of that in many years. However, the media won’t be talking about us at all if we are sitting at home in Dec/Jan.
I'd rather have another win and a better chance at a bowl game (great building block for the program with extra practice, more expose, etc.) than a road game for my buddies and I to enjoy on ESPN in the non-con against a name opponent.
I think many of the folks who really like scheduling Auburn are more fans of college football in general than they are of KSU.

I prefer this sooooooo much more. If this keeps us out of a bowl game we are a bad team that would have to sneak into a crappy bowl, anyway.
The game to bitch about is Fresno - a hungry team's Super Bowl on the road that if you win, it's what's expected, and if you lose, you're a horrible team.

Agree 100%. But what the hell, my sis lives near fresno, so I plan on going to that game.

Awesomness.

I hate the Fresno and Marshall-type teams. They should not appear on any of our schedules ever again. We should play one top 15 team and then 3 patsies/easy wins. And none of our home games should be played in Arrowhead no matter the opponent**; it's a joke to give up the benefit that comes with being able to showcase Manhattan/the University/KSU football on national TV.
**except Notre Dame, I'd do anything to play them.

Has an Auburn return game been confirmed for Arrowhead?
I think moving a home game to Arrowhead is worth it for a prime time slot on ESPN with top 15 type program in Auburn. It's not ideal, and not always necessary, but I'm not against it.

I don't want to set Arrowhead as the precedent for these types of games, although that being said, IIRC, UCLA is actually coming to Manhattan, but I can't remember if Miami is or not. And it's not like ESPN or ABC wouldn't pick this game up if it was in Manhattan.
I like the game (but my prediction right now is that we get run by a minimum of 3 touchdowns) just hope the return game is in Manhattan. 2010 home games would include Auburn, UCLA, Nebraska and UT.

Miami is in Manhattan. The prime time HD slot on ESPN to open the season really makes this sweet.

This Auburn game is ENORMOUS for national exposure.
it dominates the Texas game

Not official, folks. No deal has been completed. Both schools say as much.

This has been a done deal for weeks.

Only if Mo State change up their schedule.

Does anyone think Auburn would have scheduled this game 5 years ago? I think it is a representation on what the perception of our football program is by the rest of college football. They wouldn't have scheduled this home game if they didn't think it would be a win. JMHO.

i dont want to head to fresno with a bowl on the line but i guess its better than possibly starting 2-2 or 1-3 before big 12 play.
still not sure why snyder ever agreed to this series.
