Pretty humorous to see Walker refuse to talk to the Xavier beat writer, Dustin Dow

curious...
did Dow rip him in the past..or..what did he do for walker to refuse to be in the same gym as him?

Here is a follow up by the writer,

Dow came to Manhattan for Huggins' opening press conference. He asked around to a bunch of people and had his little camera to get some video. I've read quite a bit of his stuff and his blog and he's a good writer. However, he's got an ego just like Walker/Huggins and I'm sure he thinks he's done right by those guys and they probably don't feel the same. I'm sure Barnes is where Walker got most of his ilk for Dow, though I'm sure Huggins isn't a big fan either. Walker does probably need to learn to handle the situation better, but he is a guy who should be enjoying his SR year in HS trying to deal with someone whose done him wrong. I'm sure Dow and the Enquirer are eating it up though b/c this will only get them more hits and sell more papers in Cinci.

Given the apparent savvy Walker has displayed in the past, it seems like he may have been just a little hot under the collar.

"Dustin Dow gotta go."

Since this is Huggins' team, we better figure that out in Gang Sign.
I think this is close:

Nice Work Bill.

Dow is a tool. He writes tons of positive, gushing crap about Xavier and Kentucky, but when he writes about UC or Huggins he always puts together a negative story filled with half-truths. He also wrote a lot of crap about O.J. Mayo when Mayo went to N.C.H that wasn't all that factual. I can't remember him ever writing anything specific about Walker though, but then again I don't usually read any of Dow's garbage. And I can't even remember Walker saying anything to the press when he was at N.C.H. to begin with. He is a rather quiet, laid back kid and never had much to say to them...

what a soothing voice
Sounds like he's auditioning for NPR.

go get'em Bill!!!
-
That was pretty funny. It looked like some High School Senior doing a documentary for a senior project or something.
-
Dow should count his lucky stars that Manny Dies isn't on the team.
-
why cant i get it to work.

Interestingly, the Cincinnati Enquirer has increased sales in a time when most newspapers cannot say the same - not saying this is due to Dow.
I live in Cincy and chalk it up to old people needing that "paper in hand" experience and being afraid of the "internets". Probably also helps that the paper is so damn conservative and this is one of the more conservative regions of the state. Not Sam Brownback - humans rode on dinosaurs conservative, but still pretty conservative.
Dow has a history of rubbing local coaches the wrong way. Another article on the M. Lewis spat...
