I heard yesterday that the NCAA allows recruits to attend bowl practices and doesn't count this as an official visit or anything like that. I guess the coaches can't really talk to them, but at least it's some exposure.
Perhaps this is a bonus to playing in the Texas Bowl vs. playing in Shreveport since I think we certainly recruit a whole heckuva lot more in Texas.

Can we give them tickets to the game?

I would doubt they could do that, but, hey, I really don't know.
Texas Bowl = good for the following reasons:
1. In Texas; recruiting
2. Short trip for fans
3. Playing good opponent and K-State gets to be the underdog
4. BONUS for the conspiracy theories about KSU getting dropped to this bowl because of their unwillingness to help ku get into a bowl game.

Move #4 to #1 and then I will agree.

I aim to please opcat. It seems the niches for both hilarity and sarcasm have been thoroughly filled prior to my arrival, so I guess I'll just have to go another direction. ;)
