Title: Thank God Snyder retired last year
Post by: fatty fat fat on November 26, 2006, 10:26:46 PM
Coaching market as competitive as I-70 tennis this off-season.

CMU's coach to ISU
UCinn's coach to MSU
Bill Snyder to Miami

Are there rumors that Snyder is going to Miami? That would be interesting.

Highly.. Highly doubt Snyder goes back into coaching.   Miami's facilities are horrendous.

Yeah, I heard they were way behind on facilities, and with it being a private school with relatively small enrollment, it's hard to get funding to make upgrades.

I heard Miami already contacted the coach at Rutgers and he turned them down....that's a sign of how far you've slipped when the coach at Rutgers thinks he has a better gig there than he could in Miami.

Whoever takes the Miami job better make sure they are low on incentives and high on salary and have one hell of a buyout.   You only win 8 games a year, you're history after year three.

Snyder would be a great fit for the ASU job.  Playing in the Pac 10 would give him an eternal creampuff schedule with maybe one real game per year.

Ms. Love is looking at going after Norm Chow.

Too Mormon for Tempe.  God put the Vermillion Cliffs in northern Arizona to keep the Mormons out.

She was at USC with Pete and Norm, and so that's what the locals here are saying.

Snyder has been mentioned rather lightly, but I think it's just talk more than anything.

And they'd take Snyder.  Stoops would crap a brick.

I don't see it.  ASU is a total party school and it just wouldn't work for NC to come in and go all BYU on players who were expecting four or five years of boozing it up every night, fine Mexican weed, and banging every hot chick in sight.

"banging every hot chick in sight"

Very few are in sight at ASU.  They would be better off going to the U of A.

U of A and ASU both have hot chicks.. lots of them.

The U of A probably does better with the out of state hotties from far away.  When I was down there it seemed that most of the chicks were from back east or the midwest while at ASU it's more locals and Californians.  Plenty of talent at both places though.

Back to the discussion..

Not sure that Norm would come anyway, since he's stated publicly that he doesn't want a HC job.

I was watching one of the local sports shows and they are looking at Big East and ACC and Lisa Love wants a high profile coach, one with proven success.  Snyder's name was not mentioned, but there was talk of coaches that are retired.   Dan Manuchi (former KSU QB) didn't say one or the other, but I'm calling into his show this week and asking what he's heard.

Amen to that brother, I was at the UofA years ago visiting on spring break while playing baseball in college.  I would take Tuscon women of Phoenix women anyday.
