Post by: cyclist on November 25, 2006, 11:20:26 AM
Mizzou takes the opening kick off and drives down deep into Kansas territory, but is flagged for a personal foul and settles for a field goal.

If ku loses this game, then we become their "true rival" again, right?

 :jerkoff:

That's right !

BTW, kwho goes three and out and punts.

Trailing by double digits early. That should take Cornish out of the gameplan.

This is where ku fans really wish they had a guy like Freeman but they'll never admit it.

kwho breaks the kickoff to the Mizzou 48 yard line.

ku has beaten only one bowl team from a BCS conference.... IT's Kansas State. That's why they need the win over MU.

With UT's loss...the 9th slot at 6-6 has no shot at a bowl from this conference.

but, THat would be funny. Their most gleaming win being over a team they picked dead last in the conference. What a truly memorable season in Larryville. Remarkable!

Their offense is pretty awful.  Their is no imagination.

It just goes to show that Michael Bishop and Ell Roberson can make all the difference in an offense.

mizzou still has got to put some more points on the board.  ku will score 3 td's in the second half if they just give cornish the ball every down.
Title: Re: Border War Game Thread

We lost because we didn't have all of our weapons available.
Title: Re: Border War Game Thread
Post by: Dan Rydell on November 25, 2006, 12:36:47 PM
We lost because they played us at home, they had two weeks to prepare, we had injuries, our coaches made some questionable playcalls, our coaches weren't able to make the necessary adjustments, our freshman QB had an off game, and our guys came out playing undisciplined.

If that had just been a block in the back penalty, wouldn't it have been spotted from the spot of the foul, which would have still resulted in a first down for Mizzou down the field?  So saying that ku committed a foul resulting in the offsetting penalties actually screwed MU?

Yep but they called unnecessary roughness which isn't a spot foul so Mizzou was screwed either way.

Mizzou is going to piss away this game now.  Crap.

Mangino is the teflon coach.   Lucky enough to do just enough to keep his job and be a pain in the a$$ for the real football programs surrounding him.  Not good enough to actually accomplish anything.

Ah, I see.  Watching the replay, though, even an unnecessary roughness call is questionable.  Should have been a block in the back and nothing more.
