I've given up on him. After that thread, I've developed an appreciation for people that work with the mentally challenged.

Why exactly does this kill our Alamo chances? Texas and aTm were already slotted to go to bowls ahead of us, right? Isn't the key here the opportunity for the Gator Bowl to take a name team like UT, aTm, OU, or Nebraska, before the Alamo gets to pick?
-
A&M or OU has been projected to the Gator Bowl. Texas will likely get the Holiday. Farthest bowls go to teams that travel well.
Might not hurt our chances.

Gator won't take a down-trending UT team imo.

It hurts badly.
Gator bowl is the lynchpin. Gator gets the choice of B12, Big East and Notre Dame. The only real shot is Oklahoma or Texas being selected. Gator's not gonna go for aTm or Nubb. With Texas now reeling (two straight losses) and the only way Oklahoma becomes available is with another loss....the Gator is not gonna go Big XII. If ND loses at USC....Gator's definitely gonna take them. If ND wins at USC, then it'll be #2 Big East team vs. Texas or OU (if they lose)....this is still a favorable possibility but less likely considering both of those will have ended with a loss. Gator will be the lynchpin and will have to go B12 for us to go to San Antone.
I think this hurts our chances at Alamo immensely...aTm will be an attractive pick for them.

No but they might take a Nebraska following their upcoming blowout in the Big XII CCG since it's all about putting asses in the seats and the red horde has nothing else to do this time of year.
-
Wow. If Manhattan wasn't already a terribly unattractive place to want to spend four years, now recruits get to look forward to going to the Insight Bowl....that should help with recruiting.

:flush:K-Lite!!!

Possible, but doubtful....they'll go Holiday or Cotton.
Louisville will bring people, West Virginians will like a trip to JAX and Rutgers will bring people too....there'll be excitement with those teams. I just don't think Gator will pick Nubb....and definitely won't over ND.

The Insight bowl in Princes first year and an upset over Texas is far more appealing than no bowl in Callahans first year and a 60 point loss to the likes of Texas Tech.
Prince is the better coach. He's doing what Callahan did in half the time, literally. And with Callahan now reaching his peak and a strong possibility of him losing the only guy on his staff that can recruit, Nebraska will be sitting second and possibly even third and fourth shelf in the north alone.
But don't worry, you always have those national championship trophies so you can talk about the good ole' days that Nebraska actually meant something in the college football world.
