Details remain sketchy, but the injury suffered Saturday by Kansas State freshman cornerback Josh Moore isn't expected to be career-threatening.

"He's going to have some lingering effects from that kind of hit," coach Ron Prince said. "But as far as his ability to play again, I believe he will, but I'll wait until I get the final report from the medical people. (There are) some very encouraging signs."

Prince said Moore attended a team meeting on Sunday and was in good spirits.

Moore was injured during the third quarter of the Wildcats' game at Kansas. After colliding with teammate Chris Carney, he was treated on the field for about 10 minutes before being strapped to a gurney and taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was released later that night.

good news..i got even more worried when we didnt get the normal thumbs up as he was being carted off. Hope to see him back on the feild soon, hes got sky high skills.

He was so strapped down I'm not sure he could have if he wanted to. I'll do it for him.....
