First of all, you should never ever lose to Kansas. You should always beat them. Always. Horribly disappointing loss.
That said, I think enough improvement has been made this year to warrant an extension. He has done a nice coaching job, and now its all about recruiting, recruiting, recruiting. He will be outcoached (and i think he was tonight) but he is a big time coach, and he deserves to be paid in the top half of the Big 12.
Anyone agree?

Prince is a putz...as a Nebraska fan, I think you should give him a lifetime contract...it's nice to have that guaranteed win on the schedule.

The way I read his contract he gets a one year extension if he makes a bowl game.

Yeah, and??? He stole Freeman, so what? We have Keller for next year, and a full cupboard behind him.
After the way that Freeman handled that whole situation, we were glad to be rid of him. He belongs down in Manhattan with Prince and the rest of his ilk. If I were you, I'd worry about keeping him around of things get rough. Lose a couple of games and he might be looking for greener pastures.
In the meantime, we'll keep slappng you back down into the Big 12 cellar. :lol:

Is sam keller as good as the qb that transferred this year?

I don't think you give Prince an extension until after year 3.

Probably better....the one that transferred was harrison Beck...he could end up being good too, but is an unknown.
Keller was at ASU, and put up decent stats through shoot-outs with the likes of USC and LSU....he has big game experience, 1st round NFL talent,and will have had a year to learn the offense while running the scout team before he has to take the field.
Taylor is a good QB, but Keller is a pro prospect, who will be playing in an offense where his talents will be maximized.
NU will be even better and will make a serious run at a National Championship next year.

Great points but I'd leave out the whole rapist point b/c the KSU QB did serve up some hot beef injections before the bowl game but Snyder still let him play.
Back to the main point of the thread, hell yes you lock up Prince for the long term in the off season. Think about it. He quickly separated the wheat from the chaff and we're going to a great bowl game. In year 1!!!! We hung with Louisville, gave Nebraska all they could physically, and kicked the living crap out of the defending national champions. All with a bare cupboard and a virgin QB. With little talent and huge amounts of inexperience, what explains our success? Coaching. Plain and simple. We need to give Prince a Charlie Weis lite contract deal or we'll be paying even more for him when the League comes a callin'.
