Title: Red zone
Post by: Dirty Sanchez on November 15, 2006, 02:03:40 PM
In the last 3 games, KSU is 7-8 in red zone opportunities, converting 5 TD's and 2 FG's.  The one time we didn't convert was the last drive to the one to finish off the CU game.  Quite a change from that 15% or whatever we were running after the first few games.

There's no doubt about Freeman's getting better, he's making smarter decisions at crucial moments.  And no longer seems to get rattled when the blitz is in his face.

Red zone execution has made the biggest difference for us over the last few weeks.  After the first third of the season, things were looking pretty grim.

Red zone playcalling is also roughly 4,002,188 times better than it was.

it's all due to the qb sneak.

Agreed.... Heck, we even run it on 2nd and 6 now!
