we had twins on the left side and who ever was the inside Wr/"gunner" never left his set until about the time Reyer let go of the ball no big deal i suppose since nothing + happened but bad play call all in all...
No problem with fake punts or FG but hate the fake pass about the same % as a onside kick.
but even after i've watched it 3 times turns out KSU wins everytime 45-42 crazy huh :ksu:

Love those type of Games. Seems I've watched the 2003 Championshipover and over and still get good feeling.
Bet the DVD sales of the UT game go off the charts!

i think there is a play and i'll try and call this now..(might blow this call but...) i see us running the little shovel pass, this time to patton going for a good gain vs GayU maybe not a TD but a very curcial first down.
i almost had my first heartattack when we ran it this week, but its RP hes not scared to beat the drum til he gets the right tune.

Shovel pass is an extremely effective and safe play if run right. Almost 0% chance of a sack or turnover. Great against D-lines that are overaggressive. Was a staple of the offense pre-Bishiop

I'll have to watch again when the game is on passport, but here is what I think we did on the failed fake punt.
I think both gunners were on the LOS along with the 5 men in the formation. The inside gunner then could not release b/c he was covered up and would be illegal down field. That allowed us to put 3 elgible recievers to the open side of the formation, 2 off the LOS and one on. The problem was #27 pretty much came unblocked and Reyer had no time to hit the recievers, though I have no idea if any were open b/c you couldn't really see on TV. We were trying to get a numbers advantage b/c if UT didn't pick up on the formation adjustment they would cover up that inside gunner which would give us numbers to the open side. I'll watch it later and see if that was indeed the plan, but on first glance that's what I though.
It was actually pretty well designed, but I would like to see us wait until we're closer to midfield and in a different situation. I noticed the 2 gunners on the same side of the formation right away which isn't something we do a lot either, especially since we weren't on the hash on the punt either.
However, that call highlights Princes personality as a coach, which I think most are growing to like with success, and we're going to have to put up with some of those failing.

I watched the first half last night. At first I thought we were going to Mack and I really thought it was scary stupid. However, couldn't see the whole number, but it appeared that Norwood was going to be the intended target. He gets held up at the line and then he trips. That's why Reyer hesitated. If he doesn't trip he might've beat the defender, but the defender wasn't too far off him. Reyer probably should've just tossed it out there, but being a punter it's not surprising he didn't. Would've taken a great throw at that point to complete the pass.
