Just looking at some teams boards ad stumbled across this on Gonzaga's
I think our OOC schedule is much tougher than last year's. I am glad that Wake lost their coach. They will be tough at home though for sure. Baylor will be very, very difficult to beat when we play over there in Dallas. The Xavier game is HUGE. If we beat them that's going to be a great win. We are at home it looks like, so that one we hopefully win. The tournament at Kansas St is twice as tough as Maui was last year. Boy we are really going to have a lot of games at home, or nearby. That's going to make a lot of Zag fans very happy, and the Zags really are playing a lot of quallity teams at home. The fans will be the happiest they've ever been I think. If we beat Xavier and Marquette in the same year, that would be fantastic. I think if we come away from this schedule of OOC games with only two lsses than the Zags will have done great. And this team can be great next year. And we can beat Duke. We aren't playing them in NY City. That's even if we play them. I'm hoping that we don't get Kansas St.
My guess at this point is that the Zags will lose 3 OOC games.
And this on Dukes
I'd really love to play K-State to test us early in the season, but I'd also like to play Marquette if possible. A team and a coach I really admire. I'm a big fan of their big three from a few years back. McNeal, James, Matthews. Then they also produced Hayward who I hear is making an impact in the NBA summer league. Next season, they still have Johnson-Odom, the Div II POY from a transfer (?) and Vander Blue, who I liked in the U-18 team coming in. Oh and Buzz Williams' baldness is cool.
