I'm hearing talk of the possibility of Jarrod Washburn ending up in a Royals uniform. Thoughts?

Washburn seems like a pretty mediocre pitcher who is now in his mid 30's.  He had one good year and that was like 6 or 7 years ago.  I'm not sure how much money the Royals are willing to throw at this guy, but I guess it depends on how you view Washburn compared to guys like Bannister or Davies.
