Title: Hey Frank
Post by: CatsNChiefs on March 06, 2010, 07:50:23 PM
We need to discuss your contract, you're a bit overpaid.

Frank has clearly earned a raise IMHO. Tho it appears he has no control over his team, he has done amazing here.

I'd like to see what you have to say after a couple first round exits within the next month.

First round bye in big 12 tourney.

Made it to second round a few years in his first showing.

:dunno:

even if he exits early, I'll take this season anyday.

If you exit early, then the season is worthless.

I think Frank proved that after a big loss he cant get his kids into the game. A good coach has his team prepared for anything and frank didn't do that, thank those fracks in section 17 who said lets pay frank or whatever cuz they just shot him in the foot

Let's not blame the '17'rs for anything. Frank earned his contract extension last year. If not for the economy, he would of had a new contract. Truth hurts, but....oh well.

In the land of dumb-asses you are queen. this is the first time all year we have had back to back losses.
and after the first loss @ home to ku we rattled off seven straight victories.

I like Frank, so the point of this is not to disparage locking him up long term...but  :dancin: because we only have one set of back to back losses is stupid, and making excuses for losing at home to ISU is stupid. If you want to be a legit program/act like a legit program, you shouldn't have back to back losses.  I think this and I bet Frank does too.

No one is happy because we &@#%ed up today. But saying that Frank is being overpaid is flat out retarded.  It was a bad loss, but damn, some of the people's meltdowns here are flat out stupid.

Nobody is saying fire Frank dumbass. I'm glad he got his raise and the compensation is pretty fair, seems like a good deal for both.  I'm not saying he has trouble getting his kids into a game after a loss, like you said, so far it seems to be more an oddity than the norm.

The dumb part is saying a selling point is "this is our first set of back to back to losses"  Frank has a million other selling points and accomplishments that arent so retarded and SLTH.

Maryland (Cincinnati & Wisconsin)
Texas A&m (Kansas State and Texas)
Pitt (they've actually done this twice this year-Georgetown & Seton Hall and also South Florida & West Virginia)
West Virginia (Villanova & Pitt)
Villanova (Connecticut & Pitt)
Georgetown (another daily double, first Rutgers & Syracuse also Notre Dame & West Virginia)
Purdue (lost three in a row-Wisconsin, Ohio State, & Northwestern)
Ohio State (Wisconsin & Michigan)
Michigan St.  (another trifecta-Wisconsin, Illinois, & Purdue)
Vanderbilt (Illinois & Western Kentucky)
Tennessee (twice-Georgia & Vanderbilt and Vanderbilt & Kentucky)

Anyone ready to jump off the Frank Martin/KSU bandwagon please go now. We don't want or need you. Please don't come running back begging to be let back on if KState makes a run in the tourney (I don't know how far we'll go because the games havn't been played yet). Losing to ISU is not the end of the world, remember, even we where terrible during the Asbury/Wolly years we beat some very good teams. ISU is a decent team that lost some close games this year. They're not a team you can have one of your coldest shooting games of the season against and expect to win.

Honestly about the only thing that would suprise me with this team over the next few weeks is a first round NCAA exit as we still should be a 2 seed. If Pullen and Clemente avoid having a cold shooting game on the same day again, this team has the ceiling to win it all. So once again, if you're ready to jump off the bandwagon go now and don't come back. Go be a ku fan or somewhere else where thats acceptable.

Olde Fella know your busted ass old roll, I didn't say fire him, but I am also not incorrect, he did not have this team prepared after the ku loss. Am I wrong? I would think if Frank had the team prepared there wouldn't be a loss in the column. Frank is the best thing to happen to KSU period, and I have no doubts about that. KSU has a problem getting up for lesser competition, I.E Missouri, and Iowa State, and possibly OK State at home. If KSU plays like this in the tournament it will be an early exit. If me saying this is turning on Frank then you have a lot to learn, Frank would tell you the same thing.

You implied that the uk loss had everything to do with it.  That he has problems with getting his team together after a tough loss.  We responded with 7 straight after our first tough loss to uk.  We responded with a good run after our first loss of the season.  To say there is a link to the game before is pretty baseless

I'm not questioning your love for Frank or anything, just saying your point is pretty stupid  :dunno:

Let me explain what I meant here. After the loss there was a lot of focus more on that then going into the next game. Looking at the past KSU had responded to adversity fairly well, but this time they did not respond to it as well. Frank is a human and there will be mistakes made, and I by no means expect perfection from him. I also believe that Frank will have this team ready for the conference tourny and expect to make it to the big xii championship game. That being said, after the ku game flat out KSU was not prepared to take care of business against ISU...

After the uk game, KSU was not prepared.  That is true.  I think our point is that they are not related.  Over the last season, there has been no evidence to suggest a loss shifter our focus.

Its like saying that after Prince left KSU, the "other board" as you called is was formed and a bunch of posters left.  Yea, its true, as in that is the order that it happened.  But they didnt form their own board because Prince left, it was just entirely a coincidence.

Follow me?
