I was just watching SportsCenter and they showed the updated #1 seeds for Joey Brackets' next bracket and he lists the Cats as the #1 seed in the West (replacing Duke). Apparently our loss was more acceptable than the Duke loss to Maryland.
:kstatriot:

The cats will need to play well in the b12 tourney (make it to the championship game) to get that number one seed.
-
IMO, we probably have to win the B12 tourney to get that number 1 seed in the West
we MUST get to the championship game though. If we do that, i think there is a good chance we would be the viewed as the best 2 seed........... thus likely having us out west with the 4th one seed (could be duke or nova)
1 or 2 seed in the west is a DREAM scenario.

Just amazing. I BELIEVE!
-
Assuming the rest of the top teams don't lost I think we'd have to run the table at the Big 12 tourney.
-
This is a math thing. Duke will take back the 4th 1-seed after it beats NC this weekend. Gotta win the B12 tourny for a decent chance of capturing the final 1-seed.
I'm just amazed we're even having this conversation. What a season.

On ESPN it was stated that even though ISU wouldn't be as big of a win as if Duke can beat NC, they still feel ksu is the better team, with better wins and KSU has no bad losses NONE at all. So ESPN even after this weekend if KSU beats ISU most likely will still be the one seed, fingers crossed! :hope:

I still consider the loss at home to OSU a bad loss, even though they'll make the NCAAs. Shouldn't have lost that one, period. We better drill them when we meet in the Big12 quarter-finals.

They quote a bad loss back to a specific set I cannot remember what makes it a bad loss, like the RPI or something and per OSU's rpi and sos they are not considered a bad loss, no ranking have Kansas State with a bad loss at this time. It's ok we cannot all be perfect lol. I hate the loss but it wasn't a bad one

Lunardi considers a good win to be over a team with a Top 50 RPI for which we've got "Good Wins" over Xavier, Texas A&M, at Baylor, vs. Dayton on a neutral court, at UNLV and over Missouri and Texas. He considers a "Bad Loss" to be a loss to a team ranked #101 or lower in the RPI for which we have none.

Thanks I couldn't remember for sure, so as of right now we have no bad losses.... As a fan side of it though, I think the OK State was bad cause we should have easily won it. Now this is also as a fan cause no true way shape or form is ku a bad loss, but we should have won that game in the bram. It just freaking pissed me off at the end. SO TECHNICALLY from a basketball prospecter we have no bad loses, but as a fan there are games we should have won!

Nothings perfect in this world. Woulda coulda shoulda, but I'll gladly take where the season has led. Who woulda thought. I BELIEVE! Wouldn't be a bit shocked with a final four appearance or better. :steadymobbin':

I'm surprised KSU is sliding into a #1 seed with no wins over ku. There are quality wins on the resume, but with Texas sliding further and further nothing on K-State's schedule stands out.

Does Syracuse losing at Louisville help our cause?
