Title: misery
Post by: berford on February 24, 2010, 10:40:36 AM
Right or wrong, some coaches allow their players to circle games on their schedule. Misery has circled their home game with k-who (no surprise there) and their road game with us! Yep, that's right, K-State is their designated "road (must) win" of the conference season - they want us more than anybody else in the conference. After Laurence Bowers' little showboat at the end of the game in Columbia, we need to step on their necks and NEVER let up. We need to bury these guys! We MUST fill the OOD to the rafters. We can't let them out alive!  :curse:  :ksu: :KSUFansAppv:

Quinn Snyder was coach, I know that much.

Screw them and their band of inbreds.  Time to lay the wood to the meth heads and defend the honor of Stefan Hannah.  Seriously, I want to move them at least 2 spots down on their tournament seed.

Better get used to it, the more we win and higher we get ranked, the more other teams are going to up for us and want to beat us. Just goes with success, can you blame mizzou for wanting to beat us and ku?

Tiller was on TV just last night talking about how K-State just hasn't seen anybody that plays defense like they do since the smackdown in Columbia. I hate the arrogance of these guys. I don't just want to beat 'em, I want to embarrass them. Make 'em tremble at the thought of having to come back to the Fred next year! :oodsign: :ksu:

I'll take a 1 pt victory tomorrow, but really I won't be happy with anything less than a double-digit margin.

This game is huge on so many levels. We can solidify our 2nd place standing in the conference. We can further strengthen our case for a #2 seed our possibly even #1 seed in the Big Dance.

But most importantly, this is one of those statement games where we need kick their ass from start to finish and leave no doubt who the superior team is.

As a Kstate fan living on the Missouri side, I can't wait for the game tomorrow.  It is hilarious to hear Mizzou fans talk.  First off, they barely beat us at their house riding a 25 game (whatever it was) winning streak.  No excuses, we lost the game, but we had it in control several time before losing our minds and handing them several balls town the stretch.  The point is this.  They play junk ball!  They get a bunch of sub par talent to run around at you like chickens with their heads cut-off for 40 minutes.  At home they get the crowd involved and have confidence shooting and this works for them.  Hell, it even works on the road against the bottom feeders in this league most of the time.  It works......because the teams see nothing else like it the rest of the year.  I compare it to early Texas Tech Football teams and the spread offense.  The fact is, over time these teams are getting more and more used to the style of play and how to attack it.  The game at home Saturday doesn't scare me.  I'm not being cocky, I just think we will smoke them.  Tiller can talk all he wants.  See you in Aggieville Mizzou f@&&0$s! :oodsign:

WE'RE a bunch of inbreds? You purple gomers. Just don't hurt yourselves parallel parking your tractors before the game.

Parking our tractors is much less hazardous than parking your meth trailers, but please, feel free to blow yourself up.

Not sure where you guys are getting this disrespect stuff from Missouri players.  I have heard nothing but positive things from them about K-State.

"It's always difficult playing at K-State," Tiller said. "Their fans are ridiculous and their team is even better."

"They match our bench too, so it's tough to wear them down, like we do most teams," Ramsey added.

I don't know any MU fans that are in the least bit confident in this game.  I saw the line was only giving MU 5.5, which to me seems like easy money on KSU.

My enemy's enemy is my friend... so we can agree on one thing... Beat ku!

This so called Octagon of Doom isn't very intimidating.  I don't see why their try to name their stadium after some so called intimidation factor.  I believe "Missouri" has a better home record over the last 3 years, and has beaten the purple cats at home both years as well.  I also believe the Cats are focused on hitting the Tigers and Bower's dunk, thus giving MU the upper hand and allowing us to dictate the game.  I believe the defensive effort from the Tigers will force the Cats into 20 plus turnovers, taking the crowd out of the game, and allowing the Tigers to pull away late..

I've never heard so much whining about a dunk, especially from a team that play some of the dirtiest basketball in the conference. And for those that think Mizzou's games against KSt. are the ones they have circles on the calendar, you should face the reality that nobody cares enough about your school to consider you their rivals.  Both ku and Mizzou consider KSt. nothing more than their little step brothers.

Yeah, it must suck to have your school color be purple (intimidating let me tell you, really makes the Octagon that much better) and let alone not have a rival.  While it might be a big game, by no means are either Mizzou or ku their rivals.  Maybe if they had a decent athletic program and were competitive, or had a coach that didn't punch their players, or maybe that even calmed down and didn't blow a gasket, they'd have a rival.  You all should look towards Washburn college, they are looking for a new rival.  Oh, and Lawrence Bowers will throw down on you again, don't think your whining will end after tonight...

Will all of these MU fans be over here if/when they lose tonight?
Title: Re: misery

Lets recap a few things. In the first meeting we only had Pullen and DC. Since then ck is starting to be a lil more consistant. Samuels is a beast. Sutton has found an offensive game. The freshman guards are starting to contribute good minutes, and JHR is learning to play defense. All in all a much better team then the first game, and MU is down a good player. Loosing Safford is going to hurt more than they realize. they loose some important depth. They are also not as deep as we are. Figure in the revenge factor and the loss by ku gives the guys a glimmer of hope of a share of the Big 12 crown. I see a beat down rivaling the aTm beat down.   :oodsign:

The dunk was bush league. We had a chance to do the same thing a couple games later and ran the clock out. Good luck tonight mizzou fans because you'll need it. I see a 15+ beat down coming myself.

I don't like how this is shaping up. It's not like they're missing bad shots. This game might stay below 60.

What's sad for MU is we just played our worst half of basketball this year, and we are still tied at halftime.
