Cause he'll be signing with a MLB team out of high school.
•Bubba Starling, Gardner Edgerton, sophomore. Was a dual threat for the Trailblazers, often blowing away hitters with a fastball that ventured in the mid-90s. However, he also did plenty of damage at the plate, batting .580 with nine home runs, eight doubles, 29 runs and 19 RBIs in 50 at-bats.

He can still come back and play college football if it doesn't work out. Pretty sure Chris Weinke did it, CJ Henry did it for ku basketball this year too.

Yeah, him washing out of pro ball after a few years would still give us a chance. But, if he doesn't get drafted highly enough, he'll most likely end up playing baseball in college as that sport seems to be the most likely one for him to make a career out of. Seriously doubt he'd play both as you would really want your QB around during spring practices and most baseball coaches don't want their players missing out on fall ball.

Watched his basketball games at Tournament of Champions in Dodge City. Awesome athlete!! Jump out of the gym. Don't know if baseball is his first love.

When you start talking about scholarships, signing bonuses, contracts, etc it really doesn't come down to which sport you love the most. How many professional athletes have you heard say that a different sport is actually their favorite? A ton. Bubba can get a nice fat signing bonus from baseball, give it a try, and always return to college football or basketball if he doesn't pan put in pro baseball. He'd basically be stupid to not give baseball a shot.

I didn't say it never happens, but it is pretty damn rare. For every one Josh Fields there are probably thousands (if not more) kids that elect to concentrate on one sport in college. The vast majority of D1 players participated in multiple high school sports, but very few participate in multiple D1 sports. Plus, most of the kids that do attempt to play 2 college sports end up deciding to concentrate on just one during their college careers.

I know if I had a certain number of visits I could take before playing baseball, I'd probably choose a school just down the road.

Sharp only ran a 4.5 in high school. Considering T New's track success in high school, I would imagine he ran a sub 4.5.
