Title: 2010 two-deep
Post by: Waggs on February 05, 2010, 10:18:09 AM
Good:  Daniel Thomas, offensive line depth and experience, exciting playmakers at WR, safeties, special teams should be solid

Bad:  QB questions, WR lack of experience, defensive line's reliance on jucos stepping up, LINEBACKER!, losing Joshua Moore (wtf?)--he and Darious Thomas would have been a solid pair of CBs this year

QB Sammuel Lamur, Jr.       Collin Klein, So.
RB Daniel Thomas, Sr.        John Hubert, Fr.
FB Braden Wilson, So.        Jay Hanley, Fr.
WR Brodrick Smith, So.       Lamark Brown, Sr.
WR Chris Harper, So.          Tramaine Thompson, Fr.
TE Travis Tannahill, So.      Jeremy Sutton, Jr.
LT Clyde Aufner, Jr.           Cornelius Lucas, Fr.
LG Zach Kendall, Sr.           Jordan Allred, Jr.
C  Wade Weibert, Sr.         Trevor Viers, Sr.
RG Brock unruh, Sr.           Kenneth Mayfield, Sr.
RT Zach Hanson, Jr.          William Lawson, Fr.

DE Brandon Harold, So.       Adam Davis, Jr.
DT Prizell Brown, Sr.           Raphael Guidry, Jr.

Kenneth Mayfield is going to be a starter on the OL next season. I also think Adam Davis will start at DE over Felder.

I can't believe I am going to miss John Houlik at LB next season. Our LB's are going to be terrible.

I will be very surprised if the big California juco offensive tackle doesn't play either LT or RT.

Weren't Stephen Harrison and Sweeney a Sr's last year?  Jesus our corners suck.

I think the LB's on the 2-deep might be switched.  I don't see a Frosh starting there and Rohleder sucks.

I seriously doubt Prizell Brown will starting at DT, maybe DE but not starting.  Hell, he might be lining up at TE next season.  We'll have a strong rotation with the addition of the 3 JuCo guys (don't forget Kibble) along with Guidry (no idea if Crews is still on the team).  WTF happened to Gillespie?

Kadero Terrell was a LB but was moved to DE when Brandon got hurt, then he got hurt

Terrell is going back to linebacker, and Brown, at least I believe, is going to tight end.  :steadymobbin':

this team will be soooo much better, 7 wins probably but man it looks a heck of a lot better since probably either 2002 or 2003 hopefully our defense can take an even bigger step forward and start to get back to  :steadymobbin': offenses soon

Returning O-line has been a huge indicator for wins in the past couple of years.

What about DeMarcus Robinson?  If he can't crack the two-deep will he be red-shirted?

I'd guess so. I'm thinking Snyder might be more inclined to sit Robinson with DT taking the bulk of the carries if one of the RSFr. can show an ability to be an adequate #2, even if Robinson looks like the 2nd best RB.
