Three weeks ago he was going to resign. Then he was going to take a leave of absence. Now he is going to coach in the spring game. Can any one help me understand this? All of a sudden he feels better.

It seems obvious that what he actually has is an anxiety disorder which can manifest itself with chest pains and insomnia when the person is under extreme stress [like getting your ass kicked in the SEC championship game]. When things calm down [perhaps he's now even taking meds for the condition] you pretty much return to normal.
If you've seen the transcript of his wife's call to the emergency room it [in my mind] confirms this diagnosis: first, she's pretty calm and talks about the chest pains being related to anxiety, and then says he's taking ambien [no doubt for the insomnia]. He just signed an incredible class of recruits, which should help relieve some of that competition related stress.

He should come coach here, just IMO

I think that is what he is trying to do.
