He is furious that a backup cornerback kicked his ass on campus and broke his hand.

Quote
What is up with Tyshawn Taylor? Rumors were flying around the building last night that Taylor had posted on his Facebook that he had had enough of Kansas. Soon after the rumors started, Taylor's Facebook page was taken down (about time, right?)

Self benched Taylor for the first 17 minutes of the game, playing Elijah Johnson and C.J. Henry over him. Then, in the second half, Taylor played 12 crucial minutes and had 5 assists and 0 turnovers.

I am going to assume that Taylor's FB rant, whatever it consisted of, was out of emotion. His entire family has moved to Lawrence from New Jersey, and I would hope that those close to him are talking some sense into him.

Taylor needs Kansas more than Kansas needs him. That's the reality for most of the Jayhawks. He can still be a great player here, and if he runs away at the first sign of trouble, it could be a decision that haunts him forever. Just ask Russell Robinson, who nearly transferred early in his career.

Surprised this didn't get more run.  Probably poor "subjecting" by the poster.

Guy who changes our light bulbs and adjusts the heat in our building is a ku engineering grad and is a significant supporter of ku.  He was in the office putting in some "green" bulbs and told me it is pretty well known that Tyshawn wants to leave ku because some of the football players have threatened to kick his ass yet again.  Take it for what its worth but I think Tyshawn Taylor is scared of Gill's boys.

Doug Compton moves Momma Morris out and puts her to "work" for his company, and he's also moved the entire Taylor family out to Lawrence as well . . . wonder where those folks are "employed".

Damn . . . bold, brazen stuff.

Good riddance.

But what about his spot on the roster of the U.S. summer team or whatever? :ohno:

Taylor would be good if he just played within himself on a consistent basis.  He's terrific when he takes it strong to the rim and attacks the basket.

As soon as Sherron moves on Tyshawn will be dick slapping co-eds and janitors and be welcomed back to jayhawkland with open arms.

Welcome to big-time college athletics.  Duke moved Chris Duhon's mom to Durham and got her a job in the athletic department.

But what about his incredible/amazing/unbelievable summer? He is supposed to be a lottery pick after this season if I remember correctly.

Gosh I know Ben . . . K-State doesn't ever do anything like that.   :-[

Plus the flying spaghetti monster knows . . . that ku never, ever, ever hires a parent.  :blank:

Back to TT:

LOL, are you kidding those money grubbers are pissed TT isn't an All-American yet!

Taylor needs Kansas more than Kansas needs him. Word, they can ditch him and not care, no matter how much they have talked him up in the past they will just "forget about it." That's the reality for most of the Jayhawks. He can still be a great player here, and if he runs away at the first sign of trouble, it could be a decision that haunts him forever. LOL 1st sing of trouble, these folks clearly are delusional. Just ask Russell Robinson, who nearly transferred early in his career.

Taylor's good.  He's just not a very good role player.... ku already has scorers in Collins, Henry, Morris, and Aldrich.  A guy like Morningstar, who does the little things on defense, and knows how to get the ball in the post, is more valuable at this point.  Taylor is better when he's expected to score and attack the basketball.  Unfortunately for him, ku doesn't need him to do that right now.

Didn't realize Tyshawn had family.  I thought he was another one of those inner-city youths that had been so graciously adopted by a rich ku booster like the Rush kids.
