Title: Dom Sutton
Post by: JTKSU on January 19, 2010, 01:06:00 AM
How many players in the country can influence a game (while scoring only 4 pts) the way he does?  Dude is money.  Damian James was never a factor in this game and that guy is a national player of the year type of player.

i would give more props to CK and JS than Sutton...

Not saying I don't love Sutton, but foul trouble kept him from shutting down james.

True.  He did only play 16.  Still did a nice job.

How would you like to be Oklahoma State?

We just beat the #1 team in the country, but Dom, Pullen, and Clems all played poorly.  I bet that won't happen again Saturday.

The Pokes collectively sh*t their pants as soon as the clock hit zero.

Seems to be a theme for this team.  One facet really does well for a while, so an opponent focuses on it.  Next thing you know, the part of our game we thought may be struggling a bit shows up huge.  Great signs.  We don't have to fire on all cylinders to beat the "best" team in the country.

It was Kelly that shut down James.  (mostly)

I would have never thought in a million years that curtis kelly could play any kind of perimeter defense.

surprised the hell outta me. James was settling for pull up 15 footers for awhile, which helped.
