Officiating wasn't stellar, nor was the ESPN talent.
Knight was irritating but at least accurate. Mussburger sucked a$$ as expected. Holly Rowe (as usual) was down right mongoloid on her reporting and the interview of Rick Barnes at half.
And that miss entire plays because we are repeating a highlight 4 times sucked (along with shrink the main pic to superimpose Rick Barnes in the corner just was way too often).

Knight was garbage, just like I said last week.

Not stellar? 'Nique took an intentional elbow to the face with no call, and they wonder why he was pissed at the end.
-
knight is the worst tv "personality" of all-time, not even close. Absolutely horrible. Made Brent sound good.
-
My favorite part was Knight calling free throws in the air.
-
Knight was awesome, like usual. I can just quote everything he says during the broadcast and say "x 1000000" or "cosign" or "+1" or "QFT"
-
I personally liked his "Great Effort" chant that he kept repeating. What a dork
-
How about afterwards on Sportscenter...
"KSU ends a four game losing streak against ranked opponents."
Huh? Was I smoking something earlier this year when KSU beat UNLV?

This, i was convinced he was jinxing us at the end.

No he wasn't, hope you are a better debate coach. He was under the impression that KSU runs a motion offense. If he watched any game tape at all he would have understood the sets and not whine about the lack of motion. His teams his last decade coaching were awful offensively and he is crying about Frank's sets, give me a &@#%ing break. Did he ever have a team average 80+ PPG after Keith Smart?

I don't think that's a factual statement. Bobby simply repeated, over and over, about how we need to set up picks inside and create movement. He also bitched every time Pullen or Denis shot a 3. Pretty obvious Bobby has never watched a single Cats game this year. Got real tired of Knight trying to explain how Frank's team should be running Bobby's offense from the 80's.

He was dead on with our offense in the 2nd half. We were down right atrocious for a while there.

And Dayton.

note to both Knight & Mushy--
It helps to familiarize yourselves with the rosters before a game.

ANy &@#%ing dumabass could tell that our offense sucked for like the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half. Knight saw this, but insisted we were bad for many, many diferent reasons that were not at all accurate for our particualr offense. The only way he could have been more wrong was if he had called for more touches by Werner.

Knight uhhhh was uhhhhh pretty uhhh terrible uhhhh.

I thought Knight had some good insight, but was repetitive.
-
laughed at Knights "oh my" comments in the 2nd half when Pullen or Clemente drove down the court and pulled up for a trey, and missed. He obviously doesn't know that that is how we rolls.

this. even though we were up by 8-9-10 points he made it sound like we were doomed to blow the lead immediately after every quick shot or turnover. and everytime, Texas would take the turnover and sh1t their pants. I wasn't worried because our defense had picked up again, Balbay was out for a stretch and Texas couldn't hit any threes.
-
The complete silence when they replayed Higgins bulls#it foul call on Colon when Pittman had him in a choke hold...that was good tv.
-
knight was fantastic. thank god no more fran.

Yea, I got the sense too that he hadn't seen us play too much before.

um, no. Well done...well done..well done. Him and mushy just couldn't let the doom crowd have their moment.

Did Colon drape that dude's arm around his neck?

no, but he held it there :dunno:

Point is, he put his arm to hold him there which is a foul. Colon held it, which is also a foul, 'cept if you call it correctly the play is over before Colon's foul. So, shouldn't have been a foul on Colon.

Yes. Plus getting rid of that Austin living Horn homer Franklin is just a huge relief for any sane EMAW.

Kinda like saying that holding a dude's fist after he punched you in the face is an assault. :dunno:

Speaking of interviews. How about Barnes after the game in the locker room? Basically said they lost because they missed open lay-ups. Too bad Rick didn't say that we went 1-12 from three, Pullen & Clemente combined for a 4-24 from the field and we still won by nine.
What an ass clown. :hornsdown

Rewind like 2 months. Look at that stat line and guess the final score of our game vs the #1 team in the nation. It's pretty incredible how many different ways we can win a ball game. Anybody else remember all the threads (earlier this week) about our bigs being the reason we will end up having a less than successful conference record? Not saying that our bigs are badass, but they're pretty freaking solid, IMHO.

Not that this surprises me, but SC just called Clemente, 'Dennis'...again, not that it surprises me. I actually thought it sounded like Musberger said is wrong a few times to start out the game.

Colon was called "Louie" throughout the aTm game. Seems like those guys get paid enough to do a bit of research (or have their research done for them) before each game. :dunno:

for real, would it be that hard to walk up to a random fan before the game and ask them to read off the roster for you?

dude, 15:57 mark in 2nd half. go.

Haven't watched the replay to hear Knight but I thought the officials did a good job of staying out of it and letting two top 10 teams play...as it should be.
-
I like Knight. :dunno:
He's certainly not quick on the trigger (nor does he really offer much insight on a team), but I always get a kick out of the games he calls.

This.
I thought the officiating (sans a few blown calls) was pretty good. Not many ticky tack fouls, let the teams play. Only bad thing about that was the amount of "booos" was limited.
