James Johnson deserves at least a half.  Probably Pooske and Mastrud as well.

I have a hard time labelling players in their first year in the program "busts".

And I would add Caleb Handy to the "bust" list, even though it's not really his fault he has to play.

if a guy only has two years in the program, and doesn't do squat in his first, he gets the bust tag from me.  he can redeem himself next year tho.

i can count pooschkes catches on one hand, no half stud designation is deserved.

johnson and mastrud earn it.

I'd take Balkcom of your list, then.  He's a sophomore...and made a real nice play on 4th and goal Saturday.

Busts = entire offensive senior class - Wafford - Figurs (maybe...just cause i like him)

balkcom cant beat out seiler or cline for pt.

our starting 'fullback', john mccardle, has as many tackles as balkcom.

so he has one nice play to his credit.

that's great.

its still a bust.  he can prove himself next year.  or the year after.

I think we should name this/these the "Chris Boggas Award(s)".

I think the baseball thievery allows Boggas to get the name all to himself.  He was very highly rated, then a bust, then he stole from his coach.  That puts him firmly at #1 bust in the Snyder era IMO.

To say that the rookies "salvaged the season" would mean that the guys in the first list meant more to beating OSU, ISU and CU than the guys on the second list and people like Jordy, Watts, etc. Are you willing to say that? I doubt it. My point is that most of the new guys simply play more than the older guys now. That doesn't mean you would not have beaten OSU, CU, and ISU if the older guys had played. Heck, you might have even been competative against Baylor, NU and MU.

But if you want to hang your hat on those new guys right now, be my guest.

Hmm.  I believe I've seen this somewhere before.  You don't happen to drive a BMW in Johnson County with personalized tags and have a lot of inside sources about both ku and KSU, do you?
