I wanted to love this movie, but I seriously nearly fell asleep, something I've not done in a theater since The Thin Red Line.

Actually not as much of an "action-movie" as the previews made it seem. I mean, plenty of action, but I didn't think it was outrageous.

I heard that there was alot of stuff from the old books in there. But i was oblivious to all of it. Kinda wish i knew more.

Saw this last weekend. One of the best sci fi movies I've seen in a long time.

Also, loved how the prons got off on cat food. Never explained why, really, but I thought it was an excellent, funny gem thrown in there.

This. Avatar is basically Ferngully meets Pocahontas in space.

It is pretty to look at though.

District 9 is fantastic. Wikus makes for a fantastic, if unlikely, action hero.

Post by: WillieWannabe on January 08, 2010, 10:48:42 PM: Went and saw Avatar in 3-D tonight. Def. worth the money. Not really a big fan of those types of movies, but the action was great. Plus it was just amazing to watch in 3-D.
