ku lineman Darius Parish arrested
By J. BRADY McCOLLOUGH
The Kansas City Star
Kansas offensive lineman Darius Parish was arrested Sunday and charged by the Johnson County District Court with criminal threat, criminal trespass and two counts of criminal damage.
Criminal threat is a felony in Kansas, while the other three charges are misdemeanor.
Parish has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.
Parish will be a redshirt sophomore next fall. Last season, he switched from defensive tackle, the position he played at Wichita (Kan.) North High, to offensive tackle and sat out the season.
Parish’s arrest is the first during the tenure of new ku football coach Turner Gill.
