Title: KSjcU played well yesterday
Post by: RoadRunnerBaseball on November 05, 2006, 01:14:44 PM
Josh Freeman looked more like a QB than a TE yesterday, even though CU would rush 1/2 a person most passing downs, he looked accurate and had alot of poise.

Good luck against Mangino, the baby he's had in his stomach for 10 years and ku.

You may be right, but Hawkins was the right hire in that he is the anti-barnett. He's good with the media, changing the perception of the program after the 'scandal', recruiting very well considering CU is 1-9, bringing $$ into a program that desperately needs it......
Coach Hawkins inherited a mess, its going to take time, but CU is on the right path and Hawkins is laying a foundation that will lead to better results down the road.
KSU fans actually represented well this weekend in Folsom Field....although everyone in a purple shirt was over 65.

...Backing into 2 consecutive Big XII north titles is not something to brag about. Is it better than being 1-9? Of course. But the north has been a boarderline WAC, MWC caliber division (tcu, Utah, Boise State, and Fresno would have all been "bowl elligible" playing in the North). CU had peaked under Barnet and as long as he was still around, there would always be a cloud hoovering over the program, recruting would continue to struggle as would facilities and booster support...a change had to be made.

winning a crappy division, even by "backing in", always beats not getting in.

be happy with the suckitude you have, if you want.

i for one appreciate it.

CU is an entire season behind where KSU is from a developmental standpoint.

NEXT YEAR..not this year...CU grooms Cody Hawkins. Hugh Charles is a senior? CU will be going through the same growning pains that Kstate is already starting to shed.

Enjoy this flake. I know I will.
