2010 Schedule
09/04/10   vs. North Dakota State   Lawrence, Kan.   W
09/11/10   vs. Georgia Tech   Lawrence, Kan.   L (by a lot)
09/18/10   at Southern Miss   Hattiesburg, Miss.     L
09/25/10   vs. New Mexico State   Lawrence, Kan.   W
10/02/10   at Baylor   Waco, Texas   L (by a lot)
10/16/10   vs. Kansas State   Lawrence, Kan.   L
10/23/10   vs. Texas A&M   Lawrence, Kan.   W
10/30/10   at Iowa State   Ames, Iowa      L
11/06/10   vs. Colorado   Lawrence, Kan.   W
11/13/10   at Nebraska   Lincoln, Neb.   L
11/20/10   vs. Oklahoma State    Lawrence, Kan.   L
11/27/10   vs. Missouri    Kansas City, Mo.   L (by a lot)

Mangino would be ashamed of the difficulty of the OOC schedule.  Looks like 4-8, if they're lucky.

Assumptions: CU continues to suck, and Robert Griffin III is back.

My Take:

2010 Schedule
09/04/10   vs. North Dakota State   Lawrence, Kan.   W
09/11/10   vs. Georgia Tech   Lawrence, Kan.   L
09/18/10   at Southern Miss   Hattiesburg, Miss.     L
09/25/10   vs. New Mexico State   Lawrence, Kan.   W
10/02/10   at Baylor   Waco, Texas   L
10/16/10   vs. Kansas State   Lawrence, Kan.   L
10/23/10   vs. Texas A&M   Lawrence, Kan.   L
10/30/10   at Iowa State   Ames, Iowa      L
11/06/10   vs. Colorado   Lawrence, Kan.   L
11/13/10   at Nebraska   Lincoln, Neb.   L
11/20/10   vs. Oklahoma State    Lawrence, Kan.   L
11/27/10   vs. Missouri    Kansas City, Mo.   L

2-10

Some will be close games, but I don't think uk will come out on the good end of it.

Hawk fans won't be happy with my prediction, but until they can show a proven QB with a competent Defense they will struggle.  This isn't Old Balls coaching for them, and they don't have Daniel Thomas playing for them either.

WOW,
2 non con opponents that are not horrible
3-9 (Colorado being lone B12 win)
20-30 moves to 23-39

4 wins and ku fans would come over here claiming they are going to be next year's "sexy pick to win the north". the pattern is entirely too predictable.

Using Phil Steele's logic, I'd have to give ku more credit for returning O- and D-lines.  I think they'd beat Baylor and ISU on the road, and good shots at beating us and the 'Pokes at home.  They'll have a good year and crow what a genius Lew Perkins is, etc.   I'm not looking forward to that prospect.

ku's 2010 season and Gill's debut as their new messiah rests on them beating Kstate in Lawrence. GTech will beat them soundly. They know they won't beat MU in Arrowhead. Nebraska in Lincoln? destroyed. ISU in Ames? Sorry. Colorado in Lawrence. Probably.....but, their best chance to win anything they can hang their hat on is to sneak one against us.

History awaits.

We're still looking at something like 6-6, maybe 7-5.  If Gill takes them to a bowl game, you know the marketing / propoganda machine at ku will make their fans believe that they've arrived as a football powerhouse.  Just sayin'.

Are you &@#%ing serious?  It will take a hollywood worthy miracle season to get to 5 wins in fly-over country.  O/U is at 3 wins.

OK, I drink Phil Steele kool-aid.  Even though I absolutely, positively cannot stand ku or its fan base, Phil Steele dinged them preseason this past season because of lack of O-line and D-line experience/continuity.  They largely return both lines, and the simple part of PS analysis is that  line experience = higher winning %.  They have a lot of games at home this year as well.  It would be nice to watch them suck the bone this year, but can't help but think that PS analysis is not that far off.  I'd defer to that analysis when it becomes available late summer.

ku still got 5 wins this year and their team was horrible on defense. just rancid...

so with that premise...ku gets at least 5..maybe 6 with Gill's first year.

even Ron Prince took us to a bowl his first year. We won 7 games.
