I'd say there's about a 10% chance, and that's being generous, of Newton having a legit shot as a starting QB in Norman.

Stoops will turn him into a TE or WR all Paul Thompson style.

He would not play QB at OU was my point. They would tell him he'd play as a QB, he'd sign, then they'd start Landry Jones, and say "well we can have you backing up Landry or you can get on the field as a WR or TE."

Happened to Paul Thompson when Bomar was there.

To be fair, his best shot at the NFL is most likely not as a QB.  If only there was a precedence for juco QBs changing positions and finding success in the Big 12...
