Michigan State has suspended eight football players in the wake of a fight at a campus residence hall.

University police have identified 10 suspects in the Nov. 22 incident and hope to identify five more suspects. Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio last week dismissed sophomore running back Glenn Winston and junior safety Roderick Jenrette from the team, citing an unspecified violation of team rules.

Michigan State confirmed Tuesday that both Winston and Jenrette were present during the incident.

The other players present during the incident are: wide receiver Mark Dell, wide receiver B.J. Cunningham, wide receiver Fred Smith, running back Ashton Leggett, cornerback Chris L. Rucker, linebacker Brynden Trawick, nose tackle Ishmyl Johnson and defensive end Jamiihr Williams. Those players have been suspended from all team-related activities.

Dell, Cunningham, Leggett and Rucker all have started games for Michigan State this fall.

A university news release said the players were identified through interviews with victims and witnesses and following a review of on-site video. The investigation is ongoing, and Michigan State police expect to forward their findings to Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III early next week. Dunnings will determine whether any warrants will be issued.

Quote
City prosecutors have determined no criminal charges will be filed against members of Kansas University’s football and men’s basketball teams, in connection with a public fight that broke out between the teams in September.

ku police conducted a disorderly conduct investigation and forwarded their results to Lawrence city prosecutors for review.

Lead prosecutor Jerry Little said the situation was being handled by athletics administrators and no criminal charges were filed.

Douglas County district attorney Charles Branson’s office did file charges against 19-year-old Guy Lipscomb, who allegedly threatened to shoot one former and one current member of the Kansas University track team less than an hour after the Sept. 22 fight. Police said the threat was connected to the brawl. A March jury trial is scheduled in the case.

maybe Mangino punished his players himself, and that's what all this "player abuse" talk stems from, he beat their asses?  :dunno:

Michigan State suspended 8 players, and kicked 2 off of the team, for their roles in a fight with frat guys:

WR B.J. Cunningham
WR Mark Dell
RB Ashton Leggett
CB Chris L. Rucker
WR Fred Smith
LB Brynden Trawick
NT Ishmyl Johnson
DE Jamiihr Williams

Not that I'm expecting it but the clock is ticking for uk to do the right thing.

What no link. Here let me link this for you.

Rule #1 in message board etiquette......If you want people to pay attention to your crap posts you may want to title the thread something relevant to the subject.

Rule #2 - nobody reads anything you post, because you're always hours/days behind.

i think this is cf0506's payback for me reading (and enjoying) Fatty's post about Stoops going to Notre Dame.

maybe cf0506 is starting some sort of post war, but that would be dumb of him because its something that he surely cannot finish.

the only person who wouldn't enjoy it would be cf0506, because he would get destroyed in a post battle.  sucks too because i like the little guy.

and remember mine and Fitz's mantra:  Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I guess when a non-sports player has to go to the hospital because of a fight, someone gets arrested.  :dunno:
