I'm not going
-
I'll be there but that isn't a surprise since I'm a pretty exceptional fan.
-
I'll be there too, probably making out with chicks though.
-
lazy...i'm walking up.

You hit the nail on the head. That's kind of my plan too.

I can't believe nobody wants to see the Powerhouse program of IUPUI square off with the Fighting EMAWs.

Just got super secret text from one of the board's elites setting up a high level, exclusive and sophisticated 'Paker to set this thing off.

may not be many people there. But Elite per capita will be insane!
-
Who is the brain child behind continuously scheduling crap no name opponents in KC??
Do they think they can just schedule any old buddy and that people would stop their long holiday weekends to rush to the Sprint Center??
-
part of season ticket package = Attendance: 17699 (Florida A&M)
not part of season ticket package = Attendance: 6054 (So Miss)
I supposed you could say "with Beasley", "without Beasley" too, but it has more do with the above than Beas. I know we want to count it as a semi-home game, but if it's not going to be a name team then what's the point?
-
:frown:
Not suprising at all...the ksu alumni base in KC is some of our craptiest fans..why are kc people such f'n pussies...?

I'm going to scalp tickets for like $.50. Hell, the poor bastards holding those tickets will probably just give them to me. I may try to haggle with them and make them include a fountain drink with each ticket purchase.
-
Will be there with dad and bro.
Expect a better turnout next year when we play Duke, Gonzaga, or Marquette.
-
Why didn't they schedule UMKC?
-
I'm in Chicago. Have lots of emaw friends going though
-
We have non-cons vs. Xavier and Alabama, but they decide to try to sell this turd bucket at Sprint Center. How about switching off a conference game with Mizzou there or something?
Anyway thanks for posting this, I am going to try to encourage my brother to go to the game. I would be there if I was still in town.
-
Are you sure this isn't in the season ticket package? We got our season tix a couple weeks ago and we didn't order the sprint center tix that I'm aware of and we had a pair of seats for the sprint center in section 118 row 13. WTF?? Did we order them when we renewed the tickets and just forgot?
-
Why didn't they schedule UMKC?
Remember the last time we scheduled UMKC? Maybe the most embarrassed I've ever been to be a K-State Wildcat.

Do you guys think your parents will let you go to the game? Better ask mommy.

If I was you, I'd ask my mommy why the jayhawks gave up 75 to Tennessee &@#%ing Tech. You may also want to ask your daddy why it is that your all American center is only averaging 10 pts/g against what has to be one of the most pathetic non-con schedules in all the land.

Haverhill will not be in attendance. Granted, IUPUI does sound like the noise a pig makes, and I am apparently a pig-loving hick (according to this board) but I just don't see any reason to head down any stretch of interstate to see the Fighting EMAW's vs IUPUI, whether it's from Ames, or Manhattan. K-State should play a team like Creighton, Iowa, Missouri State, Illinois, or Wichita State, at the Sprint Center; not IUPUI....

That's what I did last year at the Sprint Center, although this year should be even easier to get tickets from the scalpers. Maybe you could have them reimburse you for gas money, too? I will be there for sure.

I got courtside tickets last night off of ticketmaster for $25 apiece. I'm feeling pretty elite right now :gocho:

This should, in theory, be the last crap game at Sprint. I liked the idea of switching a non con to the sprint, would that work like it does in fb? I wouldn't do it w/ mizzou though. ISU or Nubb though, but some years that might get the same turnout.
-
Hoping to pak' a good number of you wildcat nation citizens in the center today!
And don't forget to wear your purple!
-
The BIG EMAW jersey is going to hit its first game today. So exciting.
-
I'm going to be there. Just buying tickets off the street / at the door.
-
Only $25 tickets left
-
So will the cats ever be invited back to sprint after this? Probably costs more to have them here than kc will make.
-
wanted to go...shame really
-
I'll be there with my bro. I'll be the older guy saying "&@#%" and "goddamm†" inappropriately and alarming all the JoCo fans. :pirate_grrr:

I wouldn't drive to Kansas City to see K-State in bball. The only way I would drive to Kansas City for bball if it was some sort of tournament like the CBE, or the Big 12 Tournament. One game doesn't cut if for a 3 hour roadtrip like that.

UNLV next year is at Sprint.

UNLV next year is at Sprint.
You need to play a team like Wichita State, Missouri State, or Creighton at the Sprint Center. It won't be successful unless you can draw from both fanbases.

KSU needs to play a game a year at Wichita's new downtown arena as well. I'll be at the game today with 2 others. Pretty excited first game since at OSU last year.

We should play ISU in the Sprint Center. Farmageddon hoops style!

Wouldn't make any sense, considering we play them at least twice per season. Really don't see us playing them in KC twice a year and no way either team gives up a home game every year.

I could tell attendance was a little better than So. Miss. last year. Rumor of 4K apparently turned out to be false:
Official attendance was 7,053. K-State drew about 6,000 fans for last year's game against Southern Mississippi after drawing nearly 18,000 the year before against Florida A&M.
I was kind of pissed they didn't give out any promotional cards yesterday like they had the previous two years. If I had known that in advance, I probably would not have gone all the way over there to see the game. But it turned out good, though, because I went to Ameristar Casino after the game and won $550 playing no limit hold-em. Just enough for me to hit the strip clubs after that.
Most awesome part of the trip was the cappuccino slushies at the QT shop on the concourse. I downed two of those bad boys before halftime. :lick:

Great showing all around yesterday by the KC Catsketball fans. The P&L and Sprint Center were literally overflowing with EMAW.
A hearty lol to the 'tards complaining about attendance. We had a strong 7K there, 1,000 more than last year for So. Miss. Add this game to the season ticket package, as it was for Martin's first year, and we'd have had 14 or 15 there.

dudes, those cappuccino slushies are another joy of life.

I didn't go to any high-class expensive clubs. Just a couple of trashy ones. I'm a cheap bastard even after I win some money.

Hell yeah! All the more reason to go out to Vegas in two weeks to see them take on UNLV. Just last week me and two old high school buddies went to that First Council Casino down in Newkirk, Oklahoma south of Ark City. We all bought in for $200 each, and after about 4 or 5 hours, each of us had a grand in chips stacked in front of us. We were just killing everyone else at the table. Never seen anything like it. We should have left at that point, but we wanted to stay and watch the KSU vs NU game playing on the overhead screens. One friend played smart and protected his chips, and the other one lost every bit of it back and barely broke even for the day. I lost about half of mine back and cashed out up only $350 on the day after being up $750 earlier. It was like the fortunes of KSU football went up in smoke along with most of our winnings. :'(
