they are pretty bad.  Agree, "the Palouse" is kind of intriguing.  Kind of a flint hills, jr.

Have never been there, but once took a good look at the area on Google earth on a high resolution 22 inch monitor.   From that perspective it makes Manhattan look positively cosmopolitan geographically.

I also do that often (look at college campus's through google earth). I think it looks like a neat place, just super-isolated.

WSU is very much like KSU,  Manhattan is bigger than Pulman but not vastly different.  I graduated from KSU and my daughter attends WSU now.  Was watching K. Lopina 2 weeks ago at the end of the UCLA game.  The Cougs are absolutely horrible.  The Cougs recruiting disadvantages are quite possibly the only BCS team with worse conditions than KSU.

Lopina 2 weeks ago at the end of the UCLA game.  The Cougs are absolutely horrible.  The Cougs recruiting disadvantages are quite possibly the only BCS team with worse conditions than KSU.

you've got to be 13 years old and never been anywhere outside the state.

Lubbock, Stillwater, Lawrence, Columbia, Ames....all small compared to Austin, College Station, Waco, Boulder..... and have a ton of "disadvantages".
