Wouldn't you want to catch passes from Freeman? The guy is just going to get better.
Get the hell outta Colorado kid. Look at them.
-
:boner
-
He looks like he would help improve upon our 45th ranked recruiting class. A tiny bit.
-
Get Lamark on the horn with this guy!
Who is recruiting him?
-
He and Lamark would be great additions next year.
We lose Moreira and Figurs.
for '07 it would be...
Jordy Nelson
Lamark Brown
Daniel Gonzalez
and? this kid hopefully.

Four Star WR Sets Visit to Manhattan Premium Story
By Justin Rowland

One of the top Wide Receivers int he country, this Colorado prospect has the Cats on his short list and has scheduled a visit to Manhattan....
One of Colorado’s top skill position prospects has planned an official visit to Manhattan.
Wide receiver Drew Davis, a four-star prospect according to Scout.com, will visit Kansas State on December 9.
“Kansas State is one of the schools I will visit, so they are pretty high on my list right now,” said Davis. “I’m also taking officials to Washington (Nov. 10), Oregon (Nov. 17) and UCLA (Dec. 1).
“In addition to those four schools I’m still very interested in Cal and Colorado. I haven’t set up visits to those schools but I won’t be making a decision until early December at the earliest. There’s a lot to think about between now and then.”
Denver (Co.) Montbello, Davis’ high school squad, has posted a disappointing 1-7 record this season with one game remaining. With no hope of reaching the postseason Davis will turn his attention to recruiting in the very near future.
While Davis is still considering several schools, one in particular sticks out.
“I would say Washington is my favorite at this point,” he explained. “I have a teammate up there and everything he says about the school and the football program are just great. I get the impression that my high school coach and Coach Willingham are a lot alike, which is a good thing.
“He never says anything negative about what goes on up there. That means a lot coming from someone I know and respect. That said, I’m going to visit other schools and give them the same chance I’m giving Washington.”
Davis’ visit to K-State will be particularly important as he is not too familiar with the school.
“I don’t know too much about the school or football program, but I’ve heard some good things. I just thought it would be a good idea to go up there and see things for myself. I’ve been told they have a lot to offer academically and I know they have a good wide receivers coach. I’m looking forward to checking out the program and the area itself.”
At 6-2 and 205 pounds Davis has great size for a wide receiver. He also runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and has shown flashes of brilliance in the open field. How would he describe his game?
“I’m the guy who wants the ball at the end of the game. I’m not afraid of making a mistake or doing something wrong. I’m confident and I want to be in a position to help my team win games. I’ll go over the middle and make a tough catch in traffic and I’ll find a way to get open on third down. I’ll never shy away from pressure.”
Davis is rated the No. 32 wide receiver in the Class of 2007.

Sounds like the 32nd rated WR is a long shot at best. Time to celebrate:

I was bummed, because for about a week Davis has not appeared in the Rivals KSU database, so I thought we must have given up on him.
Needless to say, Freeman deserves players like this to throw to.
Davis runs like a big time wide receiver. Check out the Rivals video.

Need to get the foot in the door before you have a chance. We're in the race and that is all anybody can expect until signing day.
-
He's also going to see Washington, someone needs to show him willingham's offenses at Notre Dame.

As I like to say, that is "smart math".

6' 2' 205 is what we're looking for in the WCO.
Moreira and Figurs are now a couple guys who fit this system IMHO. I think both are decent slot guys...but not go-to type of pass catchers.
If we're going to run bootlegs and other rollout options with Freeman we need bigger guys to shield the ball from coverage.
Lamark Brown needs to give this kid a call.

And does an endzone dive like a true warrior.
-
If we get him, I hope his career fairs better than the last highly rated WR we got from Colorado, LaRoy Bias.
-
That wr and the one from OK. and transferred to tulsa weren't players at all.
That was a product of bad recruiting believe it or not ,even though they were 4 fricking stars.
Those WRs were small and obviously had flaws in their game,They weren't tough.
Say goodbye to small wrs like Arron Lockett.
-
don't forget derrick evans....mcmw baby.

Are you insinuating Jerome Janet wasn't a clear success at Kansas State?
-
This would look a lot better on Soul-Glo than some sweaty guy:

How tall was Brooks Barta?

I'd say our chances of landing this guy seem to be around 5 to 10 percent, especially if scenery is at all important to him... It does help that we are his last visit though..
