1. Did anyone else think the officiating in that game was awful, I mean fracking ATROCIOUS. Not just for K-State, I mean overall. Those guys didn't even seem to know the rules. Not used to seeing Frank work the refs that hard, don't know jack about Dayton's coach, but he was b!tchin' up a storm as well. You never knew what was a foul and what wasn't. The game would go from "let em play" to "women's basketbally" at any given second. Horribly called game, almost as horrible as that one refs toupee. Would be very frustrating to be a player in that game.
2. I want to preface this with, IT'S ABSOLUTELY NOT AN EXCUSE, did anyone else think that the Febreeze guy fell hard on Samuels on purpose a few tics before Samuels kicked him in the head. When watching the game live, after one of our bazillion missed FT's the rebound went to the near side corner and it was a race b/w Samuels and Febreezious and the ball went OB to us, I thought it looked like Feebrezious went out of his way to land hard on Samuels then kind of rub it in w/ his legs in the process. Again, the kick was b/s and should not be tolerated, but I thought that play may have been where the anger came from. Feedback welcome???

I didn't think the kid fell on him on purpose, but I had to watch it online so my view was a little choppy.

Jamar also pulled the kid down on top of him.
But yes the refs were pretty manic. It seemed they had a let them play attitude under the basket, but you couldn't even brush their jersey's without a whistle anywhere outside of the lane. But they let us kick a guy in the head! :eyeseeyou:

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Although, I didn't watch watch with a group of huge homers who could identify these types of things for me.

A defender getting whistled for a foul for breathing on the other player is not out of the ordinary? Happened on both sides of the court. Happened to both teams and was driving me nuts (disrupts rhythm and slows down the game).

You might be exaggerating. But, no, whatever you saw is not at all unusual.

This is the way officiating has been for years in college basketball.

I think what was unusual was that instead of a tight or loose call to the game it seemed to be tight only on some areas of the floor. It was pretty consistently inconsistent though. And did I mention that they let us kick a guy?!? In the head!

I liked when Kelly stepped across the baseline, didn't pass, stepped back and then got the ball in.
