Title: Helu...
Post by: The Manhatter on November 22, 2009, 02:35:19 PM
anybody see him make a guy miss or break a tackle last night?

Geebus, that kid needs a big hole to do anything.  Average running back...can't believe the corn have been touting him up.  Nothing compared to what they've had in the past.

yep, and if he decided to go he would be taken in the first two rounds.  That is really funny.

You realize he's got a shoulder injury that's going to require surgery as soon as the season is over right?  He's been playing hurt since TTech.

I'm guessing you don't know much about Thomas? He's had major shoulder issues this whole season too. He's just not a big pussy.

Nope, I don't know a think about Thomas nor how his injury relates to Helu's.  The subject of the post was Helu...not Thomas.  So it's not relevant.

hmmmm.   All you purple people think about this.  NEBRASKA , BIG 12 NORTH CHAMPS WITH 17-3 WIN OVER KANSAS STATE.    just let that settle in.

Methinks this is not relevant to this thread about Helu either...

Helu vs. Oklahoma's defense--138 yards on 20 carries.

Thomas vs Oklahoma's defense--88 yards on 16 carries.

Should I go on?  Thomas is a great running back.  But if you truly believe what you posted, you're a giant idiot.  And I'm not surprised.

Incredibly stupid individual.  Take off your red glasses and watch the talents of the two.  Helu needs a big hole to do anything.  He got a few AT HOME against OU.  Those runs he made were nothing most BCS backs couldn't do.  He didn't have to break tackles or make anybody miss....just run straight ahead.

basically told the Cap Journal that Thomas has never lifted weights either...Helu has been in the Husker system for how long and he is still a gimormous p*ssy.

Here's a fact Helu touchdowns against KSU-1. I had the same amount of touchdowns as DT lastnight!  If he was really so great why didn't he do anything last night?  Tell me how did he change the game? I'm not saying Helu is god.  If he weren't injured his numbers would be basically the same as DT's and he would be battling for the best running back in the Big XII in a year when there aren't any great running backs in the Big XII.  There are no Ricky Williams, Barry Sanders, Ahman Green, or Lawrence Phillips (I don't give a f*ck he was an unbelievable running back) in this league. There isn't even a Jamal Charles, or Mike Goodson, so stop pretending like DT is something special.  He is a good running back in a league that is lacking that right now, but he is barely at the same level as a Correll Buckhalter was he is just benefiting from lack of competition this year.  You are just latching on to the shiny object that is infront of you right now.  He's not Darren Sproles, you have had great RB's so stop deluding yourselves.  I know that Helu isn't Mike Rozier.  He's effective and he has helped us win games, just like DT for you, but neither is anything to get too excited about.

Any sane person who watched the game last night knows that DT is the better back.

Helu is good (in an averageishy sense), just not DT good (which is 1st team all-conf good).

lol, at the huskertard who said Helu is better b/c he is playing w/ a shoulder injury, what a frigggin tard      jfc, that has to be a sock!!!

Yes, you are an incredibly stupid individual.  No surprise.  In case you and the others didn't know this, DT and Helu are two completely different RB's.  So go ahead and try to argue that Helu sucks, b/c there are several clueless Kitty fans on here who would agree.  If Helu had been hurt, there's a good chance he'd be leading the conference instead of Thomas.  But it doesn't matter, b/c it doesn't change your record or the fact that Nebraska won.

Hey, glad we have Thomas one more year.
Don't know if Helu's a junior, senior or whatever. Don't care. Doesn't scare me if he's coming back.

Please do not try to tell me that our O-line is what is making Helu look good.  That is certainly not the case.

Yep, different kinds of backs:  DT = first year EVER at RB and a power runner with a tremendous upside and great raw talent and athleticism.  Helu = a pretty fair RB, who I'm guessing has been an RB for a while.

If the chips were down and I had to pick one to hitch my wagon to, I'd go with DT.  It'll be scary to see what he does next year with a whole (1) YEAR of experience under his belt.      :ksu:
