He said it would be hard to beat out Klein, iirc, which is equally retarded.

If whatever QBs we have next year have a hard time beating out a guy who found it impossible to compete with Carson Coffman and Grant Gregory, we are screwed.

The level of fracking stupidity from our fanbase saddens me.

Why not give Klein a shot to be our starting QB next year? He's better than Coffman, he can run well, and he can most likely throw better than Harper and Lamur.

Lew fired the best fb coach Wichita State ever had....
back in the early '80's when he was a young AD.  Coach Willie Jefferies was the only black fb coach in DI football at the time, I believe.

He had done a really good job a WSU considering.   He recruited well bringing in a young option qb from Oklahoma, Prince McJunkins.  They beat ku in Memorial, you may remember, and also beat the powerhouse in the Missouri Valley Conference Tulsa, coached by John Cooper.

WSU was on the rise, Lew came in a fired the guy for, really, no good reason.  He thought he could find someone even better.  It never happened.  WSU fb never recovered and dropped the program several years later.

Lew then moved on to Maryland.

He's better than Coffman

Oh, I see you discerned this from his being run completely out of the QB race by Coffman?

Uh, WSU wasn 't exactly tearing it up under Jeffries.  In fact, they had a decent run, but had begun to wane, thus why WJ was gone.

Of course, if they had more of a crown on their field Prince McJunkins would have been the greatest running quaterback in history.
