Title: So lets review . . . the winningest coach at ku since Jules V. Sikes 48-53
Post by: sonofdaxjones on November 17, 2009, 06:13:58 PM
the 2007 NCOY, winner of the 2007 Orange Bowl, first coach to ever take ku to 2 straight bowl games.

Could quite possibly be taken down by 4 or 5 FP's because he MAY have gotten physical with them and because he may have spoken to them and others using rough language.

Wow . . . that should make any potential coach thing twice about taking the ku job.

Mangino is Jim Woolridge with a Final Four.

Might be the winningest coach they've had in a while, but let's be honest here.

Can you name more than 2 "good" wins Mangino has at ku?

Was Jules the coach in 1930? When they last won an outright conference title. Who is ku's all time winning coach? Can't think many have won more than mangino.

I would have worshiped Jim Wooldridge if he got us to a Final Four.

no coach in his right mind would take a job working for "Underhanded Lew"

So in essence . . . Mangino had a Final 4, followed it up with another NCAA tourney appearence and the round of 32, and while things will be tough could have had ku back in the NCAA tourney or the NIT once again . . . and will be fired because some FP's say he got rough with them and may have been used some really naughty language.

Mmmkay.

LOL.  You just completely reinforced my point.  ku fans didn't want to see Woolridge go, either.

LOL at you bmw. In mid September you were crowing about ku being 5-0 and ranked, telling us how we were in denial about ku not being very good and now a few weeks later  you are throwing your coach under the bus.

What are your expectations for the next coach? If you look at ku's football history mangino has been really good. Your program last shared a conference in 1968 and last won an outright conference title in 1930. mangino was the first coach to ever take ku to a bowl game 2 years in a row.

I know you think ku is so wonderful but facts are facts, and history says that ku football is not good and hasn't been for 100+ years. Good luck finding your next miracle worker at basketball-u. Oh well HISTORY WAITS

But we're talking about football Ben, where ku has won an outright conference title in 6 decades, hadn't been to a news year day bowl in 4 decades and had never been to back to back bowls ever.

LOL . . . at you completely tossing Mangino under the bus.

Can you imagine a bus trying to run over Mangino?

I think it's all over but the cook out! You can't throw Mangino under any bus!  :yikes:Just when I was getting use to the thought of KSU whipping his cheese burger azz for the next several years they fire the first human cheese burger.

Not a good comparo.  A bowl game is no where near as elite as the second (or even first) round of the tournament.  What is there, 300 some odd D1 teams, and only 32 make it to the second round?  About half of D1 makes it to a bowl.

Wooly with a final four?

Yeah, except Wooly wasn't the best coach in the history of the entire program.  If he was, we would have kept him.  You tards are spoiled by your basketball success, and undeservedly transfer that mentality over to your football program.

No stock bus would be able to run over Mangino, but I think this might do the trick.
