Poor matchup for us.
NU is a running team. Better for us.

yeah snyder has never done well vs. spread teams
-
ku is the only spread team we beat this year. And we won that game by 7 after getting three turnovers. Just not a good matchup for us.

I know it's only his first year back, but you'd think after all the attention the spread has been getting and how many teams are running it that he'd have some sort of, uhhh....idk...plan?scheme?something to deal with it better.

Athletes. We don't have 'em on defense. We were out-run (Alexander's long TD), out-muscled (no pass rush, giving up yards after contact), and out-jumped (Tysyn's failed attempt at a pick). Our players were in the right place most of the day (one of the big differences between this year and last), but Mizzou's better athletes on offense made the plays anyway.

we are sooooooooo slow.
really worried about helu and niles paul in the open field.

I couldn't sleep last night and rewatched the game. Couple of obseravations.
- We only punted one time all day which was the only time we went three and out right before the half. We really moved the ball fine about 350 yards of offense and had many chances to score. Just could't punch it in kicked 4 field goals and got to the one yard line twice without scoring a single point. Also fumbled another time when we were in position to score. MU did a nice job with our run game but we still moved the ball. We blocked their D-line better then I first thought there were some holes there and we only gave up one sack. They loaded up the box and their LB's and DB's did a better job of tackling Thomas then anyone else has all season. We were not that far off from having a good offensive game considering we only punted once it's pretty sad that we only scored 12 points.
- On defense Denario Alexander pretty much just wrecked the game. They had 420 yards of offense and he was over 200 yards of that. The two long TD's were plays he pretty much made all on his own and they really broke our back. He was just such a factor in this game everytime they needed a key first down or a play he made it for him. We needed to play this game like the ku game. Let them get their catches and yards but not allow big plays and force some turnovers. We failed to do either we let Alexander make two really big plays and when we had chances to create turnovers we dropped two interceptions that were right in our hands. They had one guy that we athletically couldn't match up with and he killed us. I didn't see us getting out athleted all over the field or anything but we certainly had no answer for Alexander glad he's a senior. MU won't have the kind of WR corp next year they've enjoyed the last 3 years or so.

Really? Because MU ran the ball on us when they pleased and Lee is more mobile than Gabbert and he got his fair share of yards against us yesterday.
