awesome.
-
is there a way to factor in the suckiness of the conference this year compared to last year? because if we could, I bet OB would be even or (-1) on Prince's sh*t team.
-
and we have no qb
-
You two should have a circle-jerk of KSU induced self loathing.

You two should have a circle-jerk of KSU induced self loathing.
it's not self loathing, it's the reality of the situation.
name a conference team from last year that was better this year? Probably ISU. And we played them on a nuetral site. Everyone else was worse or equal to their suckiness last year. And we had alot of those worse teams at home. after this game and next, our offense will be just as bad as our defense was last year and our defense won't be as "better" as everyone wants it to be. but we beat ku, so, ya know, maybe we'll steal some kid from silver lake or something.

OB could have lost every game and beat ku and the tards would be appeased.

Look, I'm not here claiming this season is some kind of banner year. Just that they met or slightly exceeded expectations. Regardless of who the coach is. This is a team that lost a 1st round draft pick and replaced him with Carson Coffman and a dude who coudlnt start at USf. Add in a defense that was close to dead last in nearly every category last year. What did you expect.
Many thought we would be lucky to win 4 games. Looking back the LALA game is the one that hurts, could of sent us to a bowl, earned us another month of practice etc. Beating ku is nice but should be an afterthought. I agree Snyder didn't put together his best gameplan offensively, which was paramount against a team that is a poor matchup for us. Not a reason to meltdown.
-
Many thought we would be lucky to win 4 games.
No one thought this, FWIW.
-
Snyder has had an extremely Wooly-like season. Your expectation level going in really dictates your satsfaction with this reality.

also, I'm supposed to be happy that we are crap vs. being complete dog shlt?
-
Just looked back. you're right. It was fans of other big 12 teams that had us that low. We are still about were we thought we would be.
-
What would you have been happy with? You predicted 6-6. So you predicted to be pissed about the team. I'm not extatic about the season but it isn't like it was some complete failure.
-
+1 is significant.
-

that's perfectly reasonable.
-
We have one of the 3 or 4 worst teams in the Big 12 and you're bitching while we're still in first place.....Teams that throw and throw it well beat us because we lack athletes. TTU, OU, and now MIzzou and don't say, "O but ku can throw", no they can't, not this year. We should not have been this surprised. Nebraska is a different team. If we beat NEB I don't want you to say a damn thing. I want you to shut ur mouth and not say one good thing about Snyder....I mean am i missing something.....If i'm not mistaken we lost to ku and CU last year and ku wasn't even close. So just stop seriously...take off ur purple and go but on your orange and navy and go to virginia if prince was so much better.
-
It just sucks having all the stars line up perfectly, then watch our star flame out. That sh*t hurts me bad.
-
but if Snyds had a first round NFL draft pick at QB, I think he would be way above +1. But, don't let that stop you, whine away.

He doesn't, because he didn't successfully recruit one. Recruiting is part of his job.
-
Once again we get it cRusty . . . you don't like Snyder, really, we get it.

I think I made a fair point considering this is a loserific Prince vs. Snyder comparo thread.

Seriously, quit using Prince as a measuring stick. We have had an ok/mediocre season. Nothing to meltdown about. nothing to be all gushy about either. It has been entertaining at least, I became apathetic after L'ville last year.

i haven't compared it to prince once. it was been a ridiculously exciting/fun season and that's all we can ask for. for god sake, we are playing for the north next week. it's a one game season.
-
Overall . . . this season has more than surpassed my expectations, but today was a day you throw the old "grind it out" stuff out the window, because our defense simply wasn't going to match up with them well, they weren't going to stop them . . . and so K-State needed to open up the offense and throw the ball, they didn't do it until it was too late, and MU's D-Line clowned our O-Line.
Just a bad job by the K-State staff . . . and I am  because I just don't like mu, never have, never will.
But I'll be really  if this is still going on in a couple of years. I think the coaching abilities are there on this staff, I just worry about the recruiting . . . it's only marginally better this year IMO.

November is PLAYOFF FOOTBALL!

Wasn't calling you out fatty. I agree with your post.

for reals, do you think we have any shot next week? nu's defense is like, way better than mu's and they just shut us down at home. we just lost out on our shot at a successful season today.

The thing that everyone is ignoring is that the division is much worse than expected.

it's the same it's been for six years now.
-
When some are tossing around ku and mu as the teams to beat in the North, you know that the North isn't very good . . . sorry but neither of those 2 programs have down anything but ride the back of weak scheduling, when they've had a stamp to really make a statement (and no, making a statement isn't beating a 100th ranked offense team that ended up with 3 losses) they've failed miserably.
-
The thing that everyone is ignoring is that the division is much worse than expected.
No it isn't. Only one team(ku) has been worse than expected.

don't pretend to be ignorant to this. ku, MU, NU & CU are worse than you expected them to be this season.

good god. that's such a stupid as sh*t argument.
we are 4-3 in the big 12. we were 2-6 last year. we are playing the same 8 opponents.
end of story.
-
ku = worse
MU = about right
NU = about right (off. =worse def. = better)
CU= about right, figured they would suck
ISU = Better
KSU = Better
Like I said only ku is worse.

Oh geez cire . . . come on.
Hey, lets look at the Big 12 CCG winners from the last 5 years . . . ummm, none.
2004 OU 42 CU 3
2005 TX 70 CU 3
2006 OU 21 NU 7
2007 OU 38 MU 17
2008 OU 62 MU 21
Seriously guys . . . the North is "much worse" . . . seriously?? There's only been 1 year where the North was anywhere close to "good" and the Champion lost by 3 TD's in the CCG, and the 2 best teams avoided the entirety of the Big 12 South Powers, except MU vs OU and MU got worked like a bitch in both games against them.

there is a huge, HUGE difference between 4-3 and 2-6.
-
Explain how NU, MU, CU, ISU, or KSU is worse than expected. MU may be worse than they were last year but they are still decent and as good as I thought they would be.

you can spin it however you'd like, but the record is the bottom-line.
"2 games" was the difference between 4th and 9th in big 12 hoops last year.

free pass for ULL? Or is that not part of the bottom line?

don't care about OOC play. pretty sure i've been consistent here.
besides
thank god and Krause that ISU was neutral.
ULL WAS ON THE ROAD!!!

OK, just making sure your talking points were in order. One way of looking at it, is we were one game a way from a bowl last year, and this year we're one game away from a bowl with a game to play.
-
yes, we were 2-5 entering the final game of 2008, and 4-3 entering the final game of 2009.
last season also had zero entertainment. this season has had plenty.

that's a really good point. TV like every game, too. (although bums didn't get the vs. stream up today). :curse:
