Title: Is there a coach that if hired, would force you stop being a fan of the Wildcats
Post by: Donkeypunch on November 12, 2009, 07:41:30 PM
Is there a Coach, that if hired would cause you to stop being a fan of the Wildcats?

I'll go first.. Bill Snyder.  I was a huge fan of the Wildcats, when they were an annual doormat, not such a big fan when they are they are competitive.

I will, however, rank your list by my desire for them to coach KSU and their record over their tenure at KSU:

Coach             Their average regular season record in their time at KSU
Mac Brown       10-2 over 13 seasons
Bob Stoops      9-3 over 7 seasons
Mike Leach      8-4 over one season
Gary Pinkel       5-7 over 3 seasons
Mark Mangino   4-8 over 2 seasons
Dan Hawkins    4-8 over 2 seasons
Bo Pelini          3-9 over 1 season

Maybe Lane Kriffen(sp) of Tenn.  No, I would justify his cheating way.

Hitler

Hard for me to support a team and school that hires a guy who exterminated 6 million Jews and led to the death of 60 million people.

Besides, I don't think he'd do very well recruiting African American athletes.

If anything comes out that Kiffin is dishonest and cheats his ass off - would that change anyone's mind?

Mine is Pete Carroll, detest him and he is a lying sack of chit.

No, although if Pelini or Mangino were to be hired I would drink heavily to get through the seasons.

I don't see Mangino ever getting a sniff from KSU, or any other school, for that matter. The amount of structural improvements needed would be cost prohibitive. :fatgino:

I would not want Ray Rhodes, he destroys dynasties.  Al Groh would be an ironical dissapointment.  Jeff Blake would be fun for all the 4 and 5 star players, but would hate watching his games.

It you're a Wildcat you're a Wildcat, there is no coach that could take the purple blood that runs through my veins out!!!  I will get mad a coaching decisions, and how poorly a team make look on the field, but I'll always cheer for the Cats!!

Not attractive enough for USC.  Kinda surprised you would even suggest it.

No way, he's a black coach and would attract more elite talent.  He's young energetic, I totally buy in.... again.

I actually began hoping we'd get blown out when Ron &@#%ing Prince was the "coach"...

I would ignore the 'Cats again if he were ever brought back. Otherwise, I'd probably give just about anybody else at least a chance.

well, except for Stan Parrish.  I hate that &@#%er too.  :chainsaw:

He has gotten better at his job.  It only took one season to drive Ball States program in the ground.    :onthecan:
