and in fact, I think we did it first, just like the newspapers and many other cheers, back in the 80's.  However, once we decided it was gay (like white suits and pastel t-shirts or jorts) we quit it.  ku, not so much.

I liked the mocking of ku's false, made up, poser "traditions"

I might be mistaken, but I think the band was playing Happy Trails.  The students then wave goodbye to the defeated team.

speaking of lame traditions, i dont know if this is common knowledge, but according to some brochure ku sent me back when I was looking at colleges, one of their top 10 traditions is "holding up 4 fingers at the start of the 4th quarter"

That's to symbolize the number of fans they have left in the stadium at that point in the game.
