"Recruiting has been going real well for me so far in May," Thomas said. "I have four scholarship offers so far. New Mexico has offered me along with Ball State, Toledo and Mississippi State."

Yeah, this is why I don't like it when people say "our recruiting class may look bad, but when we finish with Ashante, Chandler, Mendoza and Stephenson it'll look great"

We'll be lucky to get one of those guys out of the four. After the Freeman deal, I really thought Prince would really be a bitch for the other north schools on the recruiting trail.

Yeah ... All those years in the 90's when KSU had 9 or 10- 4 and 5 star guys in every class.

My ... how times have changed.

You can't promise 20 good players starting spots every year.

When you don't, you end up with our recruiting class.

When Ron Prince doesn't, he ends up with our recruiting class.

I don't know how many times we've been over this.

My concern is with losing recruiting battles with teams we should be able to beat. I don't want Mizzou recruiting better than us. You'd think Prince wouldn't have much of a problem connecting with kids compared to Pinkel I don't want Nebraska having their way with JUCOS that signed out of high school with KSU. I don't like Colorado landing their best in-state kids, while we go 0-3. It's not all about 4-5 star kids. It's about having arguably the worst class in the big 12.

I looked at it earlier, and We've got 8 extremely solid players committed right now.  I think that is a good number remember guys this staff has been complete for what 7 months???

Maybe he's filling this class with Second stringers so that next year he'll be able to promise spots to 5 star athletes. Every team's gotta have depth.

It's called reality ... and I can't have this discussion with someone who was maybe 1 year old when Bill Snyder started at KSU.

You can't make statments about our recruiting now, with the implication that in the "glory years" KSU hauled in blue chip after blue chip ... because that's simply NOT TRUE.

I think stunner was agreeing with you.  Otherwise, why did he list a bunch of players that weren't highly sought after recruits?

i was mocking the people who always posted that stuff (those people including sonofdaxjones).

Again, you cannot discuss KSU football recruiting with someone who essentially implies that KSU hauled in one 4 or 5 star guy after another back in the "glory days" ... so today's KSU football recruiitng sucks.

When in reality, the current list of commits doesn't look that much different then the same type of commits Snyder used to get in the "glory days".

It took Snyder a few years to land the big boys in large numbers. Most just have foregotten or weren't around then. :ksu: :ksu:
