Point Guard (Clent is hurt, and he's our only good handler..That leaves Lance Harris*blah* Maybanks*No clue about this guy*)

Young and Maybank battling for the PG spot and Wright and Harris battling for the SG spot according to Coach Huggins.
"Jermaine (Maybank) and Blake (Young), they battle each other every day. Lance (Harris) and Akeem (Wright) battle each other every day. And inside, they just fall over each other every day."

Let Akeem win that one. His defense = Huggs best friend. I put a large part of the blame from some of our losses last year on Lance. He shot too often, and never made them. He was better his sophomore season.
And I'm sure Young will tear up Maybanks.

Huggins loves defense, but he's also smart enough to realize you have to score. Akeem's offense will decide who starts, IMO.

not much question then, wright is pretty bad offensively. there are nights when harris is a good offensive player. hard to ignore how poorly he shot over the course of an entire season last year, but at least he has had occassional success. wright has never been able to score.

You guys are not only funny, but also 'victims' of the Wooldridge era of playing only 6 or 7 players in any given game!!
When Huggins was at Cinci, they routinely played 10-11 kids for significant minutes every game because to give the kind of effort that Huggins demands on defense, a kid can only go for a few minutes at a time.
All will play and all will contribute.

That smack was weak. Almost worthy of being put into the "Phog smack" category.

Having Massey inside, helped out harris more than anything. We need someone to step up and become an immediate scoring threat inside.

Shock, it's obvious to me that you are trying to adopt some moral superiority because you realize that WSU would have to have a perfect night to keep up with KSU or ku for that matter. In reguards to the KSU strengths coment,WSU has some people in Administrative positions who could qualify for those comments. Perhaps you know who I refer?
As far as your academics comment goes, who cares? Are telling me the X-man . Mcdaniels, Livingstion were Rhodes scholars? I think not. Good ball players, Good pros yeah. But scholars no. Seems WSU wasn't to worried then, WSU was also very proud back then. WSU teams are getting better under turgeon but make no mistake, they are nowhere close to some of those teams of yesteryear. :popcorn:

Ragging on K-State’s for academics? From a Wichita State fan? Are they even a four year college? I always thought they were like a two year school where you get Associates degrees. So what’s your degree in Shocker? Plumbing or truck driving?

I think Harris's game will benefit from Huggins in every way. I have a feeling after Lance's sophmore season his head got kinda big, and I am sure wooly didn't do anything to stop it.
