I have a feeling its going to be alot closer than some predict. :'(
-
20-3 Sooners. 'Skers don't cross the 50 until the 3rd quarter.

The spread is only 5

They have no ground game. That seems to be the only thing that works vs OU.
-
:frown:
crap. i was thinking the same thing yesterday. elephant in the room. just didn't want to say anything. :frown:
-
NOPE, nubb is a 9 yr old boy saturday... weak. They havent proved that they can do much this year.
-
Not exactly a 9 year old boy ( Suh might take offense) But I don't think we win. We have no Offensive identity. But if Helu is healthy and plays lights out, we win.
-
NU at home against a OU team that we softened up. Should win by 6+
-

TRUE, I never remember Suh... on posts or at Christmas! I posted yesterday that nubb's game has to be flawless. No turnovers, and bring the pain on the offensive side. Suh MUST blast OU's qb as I dont think he has experienced a guy like him yet.
-
The only chance I see of Nubb winning is if they can knock the Landry Jones out of the game. Not sure who they have behind that kid. The OU skill position talent (much like last week) should be plenty to dispatch the Skers if they've got someone competent distributing the ball. Nubb's got a very stout D-line, but beyond that their defensive talent is not elite.
Offensively Nubb is a trainwreck. Helu has bad shoulders and fumbles constantly these days. Neither QB (Green & Lee) has done anything against a team outside the Sun Belt Conference. No distributor...no moving the ball, particularly vs. a very athletic and good OU defense. KSU just brought some rather odd looks to the table last week and the commitment to run the ball is pretty rare these days in the Big 12, thus the 30 points. NU runs a poor pro-style attack and OU’s seen it before in much better forms, run by much more talented players (see UT & Miami).
-
That would ruin my teaser!
-
Nubb gets blown out.
-
Use Suh to monitor bubble screens.
-
That would ruin my teaser!
You broke a couple of rules with that bro:
1. Never tease (sucker bet)
2. Never bet on your team (especially in a big game. Sets you up for real failure. You could possibly end up with an empty EMAW tank as well as an empty wallett. Better to hedge and bet against your team)
-
But if Helu is healthy and plays lights out, we win.
No you won't.
Not nearly enough.
-
OU will win...

yeah, i don't like teasers. a couple of roomates and i were bookies in college for a year. we'd try to encourage teasers. we'd also give them worse odds then vegas odds. we'd also change the lines for the cats and chiefs and dare people to bet the other way. they never would though. a few people complained but they'd still bet on cats/chiefs.

I think OU wins and covers probably a 10 to 14 point margin. But I'm sure the Nub fans will find some stat to hang their hat on and call it a moral victory. Something like we had 12 penalties and still only lost to OU by ten. When we quit making these mistakes we're going to be unstoppable.
-
Guys, how is NU's freshman QB going to do jack crap against the Fightin' Venzey's? He couldn't even do anything against Baylor. :shy:
-
I would be nice and KITN-esque if we beat ku and MU, and NU still won the North.
KITN: like a cozy blanket on a chilly night.
-
:frown:
I'll have what he's drinking, in fact make it a double.
If the Huskers pull this one off I'll quit posting on this site for two days. Now that's a early Christmas present.

how did a&m beat tech after we lost to tech by 50 and beat a&m by 50? this college football is wacky i tell ya. wild also. wild and wacky stuff this is.

24-20 OU

Oh man of two awesome first names, you must remember that the line is about balancing the handle. It comes down to the fact that 'Husker fans will bet on the 'Huskers no matter what, so they oddsmakers can't provide a realistic line on the games they play. Those inbred red wearing, Runza chewing d-bags will always believe that their team will beat any other team due to their past greatness and bet a good hunk of the family farm on it to boot.
On the other end, the OU fans have been disappointed enough this season with some losses they didn't anticipate, so they are more than wise enough not to bet it all on any game. Instead, incentives must be made (such as with a ridiculous line as with this game) to lure the cash out of their ratty pockets and so their unwashed hands can toss that bet up on the counter. If the line isn't set so they are sure of the win they'd prefer spending what little cash they have on cheap whiskey for girls with no teeth.
Thought I'd just clear that one up.
Later,
Sam S.

Please now attempt to explain all other NU lines and their subsequent results using your same logic.

Sam,
Stick to something you know, Green eggs and Ham. :jerkoff:
-
i've watched a ton of tape on both teams, there's no way OU wins this game. NU's defense will destroy OU's inexperienced offense.
unfortunately for K-State, NU wins this one going away.

Suh will probably play lights out, unless a cat crosses his path....I hear he is deathly afraid of cats.

Nebraska 35 Oklahoma 27

The pipe is making a long trip around the room.

The game might be relatively close but I do not see ou losing nu myself. Remember ou only has 1 loss in big 12 play and they are going to keep the pressure on UT. The only remianing game I see ou possibly losing is osu and I think they will that one as well.
-
i think it will be close, but remember, NU can't beat top 20 teams anymore. It's been like eight years or something ridiculous but, make no mistake, the order is restored.
-
Perfect opp. for NU.

I had no idea nubbs D was this good. Makes you realize that Baylor really is becoming a better team.
-
Wow. Their D is like really really good.

If UNL wins I am going to punish myself by eating an ungodly amount of Taco Bell.

Already did this with buffalo wild wings ahead of time just to cover my bases

Real punishment would be eating ungodly amounts of Runza's...

eating ungodly amounts of anything sounds really good right now. :lick:

Ate massive amounts of "AJ's" pizza today
-
This has probably been covered elsewhere, but What is Pelini's problem? Doesn't he know that he looks like a raging freak on the sidelines. Guy is an embarassment, even to Cornholers
-
I would say his first problem was he was named "Bo" and he has a brother named "Carl" and he pretty much just oozes dumb redneck - surprised he doesn't have a mullet.
-
jfc. josh hepeul has to be embarassed right now. "hey, landry, yeah, so, umm, quit being such a f'ing pussy and stand in the pocket".
-
Could Kevin Wilson be a huger loser?
-
:frown:
-
what a &@#%in' horrible excuse for an offense/offensive game-plan.
-
Game Over right here
-
Now we have to listen to nubb beating their chest for the next few weeks. what a bunch of homo's.
-
If Bill doesn't score more than 3 points at Nebraska. I most likely will kill someone.
-
Wish we had got OU at home.
-
F^ck this :buh-bye:
-
ou's "no huddle" offense looks like sh*t w/o nfl players.
-
Yeah... however, they could lose to either ku or CU... if either team gets a couple big plays on them... could be all it takes. Neb defense really super solid tonight though... fired up for this 1.
-
If our defense wasn't shell shocked for the first quarter in Norman we would have beat them by two touchdowns. Hopefully that won't be an issue in Lincoln... hard to imagine it won't be an issue though.
-
i still think nu can lose to both ku and CU.
-
-
i still think nu can lose to both ku and CU.
would be nice
-
Yeah UNL can lose to anybody. This was a freak game.
-
4 turn overs and nubb could only get 10 points off of it... still pathetic.
-
If Broyles is so electric why hasn't he done crap tonight. Make a play mutha-&@#%a
-
Can he actually make a pass without over throwing it?!?!
-
Is this knucklehead the future for Oklahoma at QB? What a joke.
-
christ that was frustrating.
-
:frown:
-
Jones is the second coming of Todd Reesing- Just throws the ball to the other team
-
I'm headed south of the border
-
Is their d that amazing?
-
WTF kind of playcall was that on 2nd down? :banghead:
-
Time to come home Venzy. You won't ever go anywhere with that awful QB. And you have him for 3 more years.
-
Is their d that amazing?
They gave up 325 yards which is good but not anything incredible. OU just made a bunch of mistakes missed a bunch of field goals and gave them the game. OU had a kid that was making his fiel goals and they benced him because that other kid was making moe in practice. You've got to be kidding he missed 3 field goals and there was 3 other times OU was in field goal range and didn't even try to kick it.

93 points in 9 games is pretty decent. 93 points in 9 games with a horrible offense is extremely good. Especially when you look at the points from turnovers and special teams.

nebraska has a top 5 defense nationally, easy. still doesn't change the fact ou blew this game.

You did what you needed to do and you won the game. Congratulations but what are you talking about stats for they almost doubled you up in total yards and they more then double the number of first downs you had. OU had like 4 picks or something and missed 3 field goals what do you mean NU had more mistakes?
