Cosh IS accurate with a good arm. No one has stopped him the last 2 years though he & Arundel were outscored in last years State Semi-Final and this year's Quarter-Final. But, when the #1 ranked team can only generate 55 points, guess they deserve to get beat.

A lot of good athletes don't go to college. Could be a lot of reasons for it. Obviously Pfisterer was one that didn't. If a person really wanted to know, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find out why. What he didn't do in college has no effect on Cosh. Had Arundel made it to the Semis, Cosh would have just been breaking his own records.
Cosh also could be our punter at some point. I've never seen him have a bad one. He gets good height and hang time as well as distance.
Passing accuracy is not Cosh's only trait. He handles the team with poise and precision. I don't remember ever seeing a college or pro QB run nine plays in the last 47.6 seconds (7 sideline completions, 1 dropped pass, one spike) of a half to go about 70 yards to score a TD.
I've never seen Cosh throw the ball away in the games I've seen. He will put it in the receiver's hands even if they are covered (probably won't be able to do that so easy in the B12 though) but where the defender can't get it. Last Fri night, I thought I saw a bad pass right in front of me. The receiver was running down the sideline and Cosh releases a pass right toward me. It was obviously several yards behind the receiver and I'm thinking "What the H--- is that?" About that time, without looking back, the receiver stops, does a 180, and runs back a couple yards and the ball hits him right in the gut. When the ball left Cosh's hand, that receiver was moving downfield. A perfectly timed route. Usually, he just hits the receiver going full speed down the sideline.
Unforunately, Arundel's last play of the season was an interception in the end zone. The receiver bobbled the ball and the defender running right with him grabbed it away. That would have been the 61st point and probably the game.
Cosh also could be our punter at some point. I've never seen him have a bad one. He gets good height and hang time as well as distance.

Sounds terrific when you explain it like that. However, despite glowing reports in the popular media ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_2ADWBZgS8 ), I do not believe that Maryland football is particularly great. If those numbers came from FLA, TX, or CA I'd be going nuts.

Reesing only had offers from ku and Duke, but put up crazy numbers in Texas.

I'm not an expert. Just a fan (and KSU graduate). Just fun to watch someone run an offense with such poise and precision. I've never seen any high school team so polished. If behind with 2 min. to go, he is who I would want in there as QB. They always ran a 2 min. offense (no huddle and snap the ball as soon as the referee walks away, except for a few audibles) the whole season though they did have running plays mixed in with the passes.
Not sure how you would go about comparing Reesing or Daniels against Cosh. Doubt anyone saw them all or even two of them given distance between. I sure don't know much about Reesing or Daniels in high school.
I suspect that Cosh didn't receive more offers because of his Dad being a KSU coach. Sounded like others were talking to him. I really think he should be higher than a 3 star. Probably due to lack of offers. Don't see how a 4 or 5 star pro-style QB could be much better than him. Certainly there are dual threat QBs that can run better, but Cosh can run. In the game a week ago, he had 18 carries and the RB had 21. When needing 2-4 yards on 3rd or 4th down, Cosh carried the ball for the first down. But, that was largely due to the light rain falling which impacted Cosh's accuracy and the receptions. As a runner, he is not a Roberson, but he is not a Coffman either. He can run the option, but I've seen it no more than once a game, and not at all the last 2 games. Their run game has been primarily straight ahead and no long runs.
I'm really hoping that we can get Cam Newton or another talented Juco so that Cosh can redshirt and run the scout team for a year. My main worry is the difference between D1 secondary and the shorter secondary he has been facing. He has been able to put the ball where only the receiver can get it, but D1 cornerbacks won't be so easy to get past. Now, he never throws it away, so he might try too hard in college and suffer some picks. I would like to see him have time to adjust though I think he will be better than Freeman in all respects other than Freeman probably had the stronger (but less accurate) arm.
I don't care how good a runner Harper is, if he can't pass, the D will put nine in the box to stop the run. To win the big games, you have to have some passing ability. Gregory didn't give us that. Roberson, Beasley, Bishop gave us that. Not great passers, but good enough to keep the D honest.
