They are predicing "Blowout" of ku. Many will be "Shocked if we don't win going away." Others have compared the OU games and obviously KSU faired much much better.
When we absolutly drool down our chin and ku comes in and lays a 20 point beatdown on our asses there will be suicides. Mark my word.
-
umm, it's not just gpc.
-
I think anyone predicting a blowout win is kidding themselves. But at the same time anyone predicted ku to lay a 20 point beatdown on us is kidding themselves as well. This should be a good competitive game. I see ways for both teams to win just a matter of who executes on Saturday.
-
There will be a meltdown of epic proportions this saturday-tuesday, the only thing in question is which fanbase has it.
-
ku sucks and have done nothing all year to warrant the credit they are getting from K-State fans like you. They could have easily lost their last five games. :blindfold:

But some people are giving us way too much credit as well.

Regarding our "performance" vs OU, I have one thing to say, 1st and 45. All this lynchmob talk needs to stop and folks need to get grounded. OU had have a fcking football field for the first down... AND THEY GOT THAT MOTHERFCKER!!! This weekend could be a bit of a trap game, but I still think we win. People who think we are going to roll this weekend are 'tards in every definition of the term.
-
Agreed, the meltdwn potential for next weekend is astronomical. Like, Huggins-is-leaving type carnage.
ku has lost to exacty 1 team tey shouldn't have, and K-State has beaten 0 teams they shouldn't have. Tell me how that equates to a blowout win for K-State.
-
This could be an ugly, ugly game. 2005 style. Unless sparkles coughs up the ball a bunch.

It could never top the 2006 ku game. Expectations were higher, the team had actually accomplished something, and the coach was blacker.
This year, it could be all, "I didn't expect us to play ku this close, OB is on the right track, we're still first in the North, etc."
-
I won't hang around here much next week if we lose. So i hope we win.
-
Predicting games in the Big 12 north this year is almost impossible. You can cut the stats many ways and see either ku or KSU on top I am not sure all that matters right now. I am feeling very good about this team right now and it because they are starting to look like a Snyder Coached team. I think they showed great fight this last weekend to take a 21-0 punch and still keep kicking. If GG can continue his growth and the defensive line is as active as they were in TAM game we win this one nicely. If not well it could go either way.

KSU was the underdog vs. A&M and ISU. A&M has proven to be a pretty good football team. Better then ku if you take out bias and just look at the way they've played. Not saying we'll beat ku like we did A&M or even beat them at all for that matter. A month and a half ago when we lost to La La people were saying we wouldn't beat a d-1 opponent all season. Now we're 3-2 in the league and people are saying we've only beat the teams we were expected to beat. A month and a half ago ku was a lot of people's pick to win the North and now they're 1-3 in the league and people are saying they've only lost the games they were suppossed to lose.
ku hasn't covered a spread in any conference game. KSU have covered the spread in 4 of 5 conference games including 3 in a row. One team seems to be getting better and one team doesn't. One team is taking care of the ball and one team is turning it over. Trends don't always hold up but it's not normally a good idea to bet against a trend.

First reasonable "we should maybe win this game" thought I have heard and it kinda pisses me off.

my fav meltdown is when the ksufans.com tards get mad at the gpc tard because they were overconfident, as if they were the reason we lost.

I'm in that crowd, though I dont' blame a loss on overconfidence from tards.
I can't remember the last time I've wanted to win a game so bad.
Probably OSU 07, that might be the last time I had really really high hopes and they were CRUSHED.

I disagree, respectfully of course. I don't even remember a meltdown in '06, so it must not have been that great (I have excellent meltdown memory).

They better freaking not be.

Not in the sense that its ku but in the sense that its a winnable game and we're in position to win the north.

you are def a better fit to be afan of the other school if you honestly had to ask this :squawkgoalpost:. if our fans storm the field i would have lost all respect for our fans as a hole

My post was with regards to melting down if we lose. It has nothing to do with ku which is what a lot of people are alluding to. Which is stupid.
-
True we can't stop anyone on 3rd down and we're playing the Kansas Jayhawks who, despite their record, are loaded with offensive weapons and can convert 3rd downs all day long. We just have to hope ku continues the meltdown or the defense figures out how to cover Kerry and Briscoe at all times.
A little negativity goes a long way towards my ability to enjoy this game anyway.

Sounds like you are hoping this will happen??? :frown:
-
It just comes down the time when ku snaps out of this funk...and they've looked so confident and prepared against us the last three years that we can't possibly fathom that ku is finally going to frack up and give us some breaks. It just hasn't happened since 2005.
