Re: the Lawrence/Columbia Star and their slanted reporting - who cares. When we are getting props from ESPN and the like, I could give a chits less what they have to say. KCSTAR's credibility is in the chitter IMO.

What is the KC media?? Well it's a $hitty at the end of the line daily newspaper, and 3 or 4 $hitty TV stations of which at least 1 has outsourced it's sports coverage. Who cares if Channel 9 made made Saturday night into a ku/mu infomercial . . . . what was advertised again and again?? That both ku and mu got their a$$ kicked . . . "we're here in Lawrence tonight where ku got a$$ hammered 35-13 by ou today . . . live from Columbia where Texas just went balls deep on the Tigers".

Uhh, I care quite a bit. I've lived in KC my whole life and have experienced, first hand, the disrespectful and condescending tone that the KC media takes with K-State. You're gonna tell me that I'm overexagerating. KC media is garbage. It's not worth my time to get upset.

I'm sick of getting sh*t on by the local media. I'm admittedly an irrational sports fan. Obviously. I'm on message boards all day instead of working. I get emotionally invested in teenagers playing sports. I get depressed when K-State sucks at the game of basketball and football. I have an irrational hatred for ku.
So, when I hear Kietzman calling out the local media for ball washing ku and MU, it puts me in a good mood. The single K-State voice in the metro media (which covers a metro of over 2 million people) is heard loud and clear. About god damn time.
I'm out.

Chief, I lived in KC for 31 years . . . I used to get all :mad: about the KC media in K-State. But when you get around this world a little, you quickly understand what a pi$$ ant media market KC is . . . and with the WWL (that's World Wide Leader) taking over the world, as well as the Internet . . . who cares . . . who franking cares what they say in the KC media, nobody is watching and even less are reading.
Now, if we can figure out a way to get OB in some of those ESPN commercials or in a movie, like the new one with Sandra Bullock which has got guys like Nick Saban in it and such . . . . that's where it's at chief, but the KC media . . . .pfft. Len Dawson, Jack Harry?? Come on dude.

Len Dawson started talking to me one day on the putting green. It kind of freaked me out to hear a voice I recognized coming out of some feeble old man that I had barely noticed was there.

I admit that I am a pretty loyal listener to KK and to all shows on 810 for that matter. Mainly because the sports alternatives in KC is 610, which is just horrible, 580 out of Topeka, which is nice if you want to catch up on the Silver Lake-Holton high school rivalry.
I don't know why he get hate on this board as he is the only K-State cheerleader in the sports media in this town. The 3 tv stations with sportscasters are just awful and the aforementioned KMBC between game "newscast" is a perfect example. The newspaper is a lost cause of getting any support.
I think that is one reason so many KC area :kstatriot: turn to KK, this site and even the other less EMAW, less FBIQ, less BBIQ message boards for refuge.
I guarantee you one thing about KK, when it comes to hoop season, he will be the strongest voice supporting Frank and the Boys, while everyone else will be pretty quiet.

I lived in KC from 86-89 and I hear you guys. kc media hates KSU loves ku and really likes mu from what I remember. KSU will never get fair coverage in that town, but I wouldn't worry about it much if I were you. I have lived in the Wichita area from 89-present and we do not get great coverage but Bruce Haertle (sp?) is always fair to KSU. The best thing we can do is just start winning big again and then you can read about soft OOC schedules and other trivial complaints about Snyder's program (where were those articles in 08 about weak schedules when ku played nobody? and went to a bcs bowl).

The morons on 610 GUARANTEED KSU would lose all of their remaining games. And then proceeded to make fun of Bill Snyder. Said his end of season slide would make Ron Prince look good. I hate those guys.

Has anyone ever noticed that whatever keitzman 'predicts', the exact opposite seems to always happen? Now that hes on the K-State bandwagon i'm terrified. I don't know how this guy got where he is, hes terrible. By the way, this is my first post so be gentle with me. :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:
