btw, lol @ the pro mu propagandists. can you imagine what dsmok1 would say to the idea that safford will step into carroll's shoes and the tigers will march on oblivious to his loss?

well dicklips, since you linked to a private forum that i can't ready, i'm just going to go ahead and say it- you might as well have just linked to any of my posts in this forum over the past 12 months if that's all you needed to know about clemente and samuels.
:flush:

too bad you can't read ouhoops, 'clams. it's a pretty elite forum though, so i wouldn't feel too bad about it. you'd definitely love it if you were allowed on though, so it's really too bad they won't allow you to join.

so is this like a "if we had another jamar samuels instead of another clemente, we'd be better" thing? cause which ksu teams wins less games...the one without denis or the one without jamar?

Ranks our players from best to worst (last year):

Abdul Herrera
Luis Colon
Fred Brown
Victor Ojeleye
Justin Werner
Chris Merriewether

So, given Abdul was included I'm assuming anyone stepping on the court below the Abdul line hurts the team.

Good adjustment. Too bad the guy doesn't factor in intangibles. Like moxy. Denis definately has moxy.

while I appreciate(d) Ron's ability to rebound the ball without jumping, what ranking system would put Ron Anderson, in any capacity, as being "better" than Clemente or Fred Brown?
-
Remember that time when we went into a top 20 program's (and chief rival's) house and Ron Anderson single handedly willed us to vicotry dropping 44 points in the process?
Niether do I. :blank:

offensive and defensive efficiency- he didn't make many mistakes on either end of the court

Do those effeciency numbers (or any effeciency numbers) ever factor in some type of regression? Sure, ron was "productive" when he was in there, but what if he played as much as Denis? It's like taking a utility player that's got a .300 average after 150 at bats and extrapolating that out to 500 at bats, when what actually occurs is that the batting average goes down as the utility player gets more of a chance to show why he's a utility player.
-
i don't know if it's important whether or not the stats take into account any regression that you brought up, as long as the measurement is applied the same against all players/positions. compare clemente to other guards in the big 12, he's on par with them but maybe a little suckier.

it's becoming pretty obvious that the staff running off anderson, and replacing him with two empty scholarships was a colossal mistake.
