Title: Snyder vs Rhoades
Post by: KITNfury on October 26, 2009, 09:03:48 AM
Snyder after a sloppy win:

pounding fists, saying he's pissed, etc

Rhoades after a sloppy win:

crying all over the place (joyous variety)

Don't accept it was all that sloppy for ISU....they performed about up to expectations without their QB-RB etc.

Perspectives way different too....they achieved their goal....KSU did not

Hey, a win's a win, but when it takes 8 turnovers to beat an average team by 2, I'd think that there are some real problems to fix. Honestly, I was just making a jab, but that's a little too much excitement for a "lucky" win against a mediocre team. I was hella glad they pulled it off though.

whatever it takes short of cheating to have uk/nubb/moo lose is fine with me. Even if it takes a little (or a lot) of luck.

It's gotta be nice to win the superbowl.

I don't know you could possibly pick on Rhoades after he won in Lincoln basically just for us...

I love Rhoades. I just didn't know he won the lottery while scoring a 3 way.

I caught the end of the ISU game on FSN Big 12 report today and they showed Rhoades going in to the locker at the end of the game and he stopped in front of the fans and really showed some emotion.  I kind of got a good feeling from watching him.  Very big win for their program.   They may turn the corner in the years to come if Rhoades stays around.  The announcers also said he was from Ankeny, Iowa which is close to Ames.  So, he may stay around for awhile.

meh, he's trying to change the culture there. nothing wrong with showing that kind of emotion in a program that isn't used to much success. it motivates players and makes them believe they can win which is the biggest obstacle in turning around a program.

We were suppose to beat CU and after watching that game, it should have been a much easier win.

ISU had no business beating nubb.  8 turnovers and like half of them inside the redzone.  Nubb gave them that win.  That was a huge win for Rhodes, a first year coach, trying to build a program.

Snyder was just racking up another win against a sub-par team.

"Not likely," says Junction City native Ron Prince from in reflecting on the first big CTR win.
