Check out their box score.  Practically identical offensively.

Watched the 3rd quarter, drove home from Manhattan listening to ku's whining announcers tell me how the sqwawks completely dominated the first half and just barely, barely missed on a couple of plays before the half -- "But Coach Mangino won't mention that" and then in his post-game show he blabbers his fat face on about for about five minutes.

Pretty obvious, OU was going to play it pretty close to the vest and let their defense win it. The part of the game I watched, their receivers were running out of bounds rather than taking on ku's weak-a$$, poor tackling d-backs. Seemed to be a lets get through this without injuries and prepare for a tough game next week type of mentality.

So I wouldn't put too much stock in the stats.

The only stat that matters is 35-13.

I did watch the game and a few thoughts.

OU first since they won.

1. Landry Jones (and the rest of the offense for that matter) are nothing special.  Jones does have a decent arm when he has time to set his feet.  However, when hurried (not often by ku) or if the coverage is good, his lack of experience really shows and he is vulnerable.
2. The O-line is clearly banged up and it may be that we can get some pressure on Jones to make some mistakes.
3. This is a coverage game for KSU.  OU is not going to run the ball much on KSU.  The key will be the slip screens to Broyles.  I think KSU has a shot if they can keep Broyles and Tennel contained and force at least 2 turnovers by Jones.

1.  The O-line is not near as impressive this year and this is not just an OU observation.  Reese will still get some throws to both Briscoe and Meier.  It was very clear in this game, OU's rush got into Rees's head very early in the 2nd quarter and he simply dropped his head in defeat after that.  (P.S.  I think Fitz will have a field day with Reese in Manhattan)
2. Briscoe and Meier can both still kill you after the catch.  I actually see OU as a fantastic trial run on Broyles and Tennel for our secondary to prepare coverages/containment for ku.
3. ku will rush for less than 75 yards on KSU.  That total includes Reese breaking off at least 2 10-15 yard scrambles.
4. Special Teams-ku's kickoff coverage unit looked rather suspect the few times they kicked into the wind.
