Title: Question regarding Gameday. How do you keep the nickels hot?
Post by: The1BigWillie on October 16, 2009, 10:18:44 AM
I want to chuck some hot change at the ku bench but I don't want to burn my fingers.  How does one go about this?  I assume nickels, given their size to weight ratio, are best for throwing at scum.

I always use a butane torch and a pair of needle nose pliars.  Practice throwing them in the yard until you get it down.  I have hit players square in the head from 2/3 of the way up the bleachers.  Once put a red hot one right down Rex Walters' jersey.

Screw pliers. Asbestos gloves.
And you cheap SOB, use quarters.

I have an old timey hand warmer that actually consists of a small metal box that you rap in cloth.  In it you put an actual piece of burning charcoal.  I just stock it with Susan B. Anthonys.  Come game time, I let em fly.  Ask C.B. McGrath how my red hot SBAs feel.
