I've already made a giant pot of chili and just finished off a giant pot of chicken noodle soup from this weekend. My chicken soup.
1 whole cooked rotisserie chicken from Price Chopper/Hy-Vee etc...
big box of chicken broth
pepper, salt, seasoning crap.
chopped a stick or two of celery.
sliced up a few carrots
diced up about a 1/3 of a white onion.
a bunch of egg noodles.
added water to correct consistency and flavor
SLow cooked on the oven for about 3 hours.
Muy Bueno.
I usually jsut throw my chili and soups together on a whim and don't stick to specific recipes. I'm pretty &@#%ing amazing in the kitchen. I cook for bitches by the 3rd or 4th date and I'm usually diggin her out right after dessert.

homemade chili=good. chili from like a can or something where you don't know what's in it or how it was made=totally gross. seriously. truer words never spoken.

Made a pot last weekend. Awesome.
Chili Beans
Black Beans
Stew meat
Ground beef
Bacon
Onion
Garlic
Stewed tomatoes
Toasted Corn
Bell Pepper
Jalapeno Pepper
Cumin
Chili Powder
Beef Broth
Sour Cream
Cheese
Crackers
No specific amounts. Whatever feels about right. Had to really cut down on the Jalapeno's, Chili powder and eliminate the Habanero so my wife would eat it. :-[

Grandparents make their own chili when we're having chili for lunch or supper, but use the canned for Coney's and stuff. Grandpa loves his Armour chili.

similar to what I do, substitute cut up pork tenderloin and sausage for beef to change it up, brown it in a skillet, sometimes I grill it before slicing it to add a smoky flavor :lick:

All meat (for those that don't like beans):
1 pound pork steak/chops (cut in chunks)
1 pound cheaper beef steak (cut in chunks)
1 pound hamburger
1 pound sausage
2 cans green chilis
1 can rotell
Chiptole chili seasoning
1 bottle dark ale (or even stout) of some sort
add jalepeno/habanero if you want more heat.
Best if cooked slow for several hours.

Coney day is actually my favorite, tbh. Amazing what a few minutes under a broiler will do for the buns and melting the cheese. My grandma's gonna have me cookin my own meals 24/7 by the time I'm outta here.
